although you don't see em often since failing in certain missions pretty difficult, restarting missions at the start can get you some real interesting different conversations which never happen if you play without restarting which is weird because they should've ben just randomized.
For an example if you fail at the start of the "getting drugged by jimmy" mission then instead of doing the normal conversation, jimmy will just smart talk you by mentioning how you carry a bajillion guns without any explanation

It’s actually Steve’s fault he dies if you don’t put the the syringe in him because Steve was the one who bought Mr K in and told Trevor to use all the torture devices on him
Reminds of how in the "Star Wars: Rogue Squadron" games, whenever the player fails missions, alternate cutscenes might play before getting an announcement saying "MISSION FAILED", then displaying a message on how you failed (and sometimes displaying tips and tidbits on how to not mess up next time). What are some other video games you can think of where whenever you fail a mission, cutscenes and intermissions might play showing the consequences of not completing the objectives before getting a mission failed notification and messages telling you how you failed and, sometimes, what you can do next time to avoid messing up?

The length of that exchange after Trevor accidentally kills the torture victim implies that it was originally going to be an acceptable route but they probably took it out because they knew everyone would do that to speedrun the mission.

They are definitely not really "SECRET" cut scenes but mission fail scenes. They are not seen very often though because a lot of the missions are easy to pass, so people never see the mission fail scene for a lot of the missions.

If you chose a bad helicopter driver(Karim Denz) the helicopter will crash and the mission will not fail. if you arrive at the airfield the secret custscene will appear
That happens no matter what
