But I think most of all, this land and Chateau has a loving and magical family to care for and grace this beautiful place, and that you all are infusing this place with your determination, esprit de corps, and respect and love for each other. Ur mom works so hard to help u get the Chateau back to where it should be. She is an amazing woman with everything she does for her family. U r all so lucky to have her in ur life. U all did an amazing job on the drive to the Chateau.
It’s so easy to see, while you’re all working so hard to clean up the drive, why a château this size had multiple everything; gardeners, upstairs servants, downstairs servants, grounds keepers, staff that looked over this, and that. Who could keep up with all of this work, for a château this size, without help? Just when you folks finish clearing a space, another space needs clearing. When you’re done with that one, there’s another one needs doing. It never stops; not with a grounds this large. That’s also why generations of families stayed, and tended the needs of the masters. They had a place to live, a job to do, and the untold thanks of the people for whom they worked. Well done, all of you. PS: not every tree, plant, bush is meant to grow in a certain place. Relax people. The veg they’ve cut down was not meant to be in the places they were growing. The grounds were neglected, and needed to be pruned back to some semblance of beauty, and grace. Relax. They’re doing a great job. PSS: beware of mothers brandishing chainsaws. 😂😂
It’s a good thing that you’re clearing out all the weeds, brambles and ivy and trimming the trees back. In the long run all the trees will be so much healthier. With the amount of land you have, you should get you a wood mulcher. You could use the mulch to put in your gardens and around all your trees to keep out the weeds, and it feeds them at the same time.
@@alexandra2jerry I've got a small one I use in my yard and love it. My plants look so much better because of all the nutrients it gives back and seldom have to pull weeds.
@@MamaK65 we live on three acres and have a lot of trees but this summer has been a doozy. The heat with a daily afternoon rain has meant weeds and vines are having a ball! Our chickens run behind the tractor as it mows the lawn and paddocks and makes all the grasshoppers jump.. 😂 Good for you for having the strength to handle one of those. I’m 70 and my sell by date came and went. Good luck to you 💕👏💕

Living on a farm in the states...every fall after harvest my father would "drip burn" the fence lines...it got rid of the unwanted growth of brambles and twigs etc and allowed the grasses to grow. It was a controlled burn about 4 ft on either side of the fence row... It added needed potash to the soil. It became a healthy undergrowth for pheasants quail etc... I do not know if it would work at your beautiful chateau but just a thought...I enjoy watching your videos all the time... thank you guys for your entertainment.😀
What an amazing job your family did with the brambles and weeds. Your mom is a very strong woman, pulling and digging for hours. I love the surprise vista that is being created. I hope you are going into the woods to do the same because I think you are going to find some surprises. Great work for such a big reward. It would be nice to have a cottage garden behind the little house. Ever making the piece bigger to park the car. A convenience for taking groceries into the house and privacy.
