Hi Pat, I've been watching a few of your videos and installed OpenVAS Community edition and Nessus essential version in my company's internal network. I have one real issue and would like to ask if you have any idea.
I have one webserver(Apache) deployed in AWS that is accessible from the internet. I configured the ssl.conf to enable only TLSv1.2. When scaning the internal IP address of the webserver by OpenVAS and Nessus that I built , both reports show the ssl/tls supported version is TLSv1.2 only. But when scanning the public-faced hostname of the webserver by SSLLabs, CDN77, and another Nessus that is hosted outside the network, all three reports show that tls 1.0 and tls 1.1 are enabled. Do you know the potential reason? I am very new to the security area as well as IT infrastructure. Thank you very much. Great work on your videos.
nice video, it looks like the community edition had been replaced by a trial edition... and works only with VirtualBox instead of VmWare?
Yes it was replaced. I believe you can download for Vbox and vmware. It should have a VM image.
Hi, I am trying to set up my OpenVas virtual machine in VMWARE ESXI but I ran into an issue the network interface service does not come up, any ideas ?

@@InfoSecPat I do not get a network connection and I cant find the problem. Its the same error. How did you solve it? I already tried bridge and NAT :(
The VM works if I configure a bridged network, but does not if I configure a Nat network. Do know why?
Yeah that’s the best way to do it. Maybe sure try NAT with a new network setup.
