Richard was good and fair to all the contestants. He wasn't a slave to network game show rules and regulations. He called the shots on the Feud the way he saw fit and I think that's awesome! :)
Richard was very much like Dick Clark--not color blind! They treated their contestants with equal fairness!

Also, longer fee plugs(with rarely used "wipes" perhaps and sometimes redubbed fee plugs indicate this being a syndicated episode. ABC Daytime always had 4 product plugs and no wipes.

That board in the back was all but the same also used here in the UK from 1980 to 85 changed in 1987 but was brought back from 1988 to 2002. The show here was renamed Family Fortunes as original host Bob Monkhouse said Feud sounds aggressive

Today's Feud I have 2 things I notice--they pick on grandma and grandpa every third question(too much,ease up!)and some of the questions are a bit raunchy!!
