My Covid Home Gym Mods on my cheap ass power rack, the (Fitness Reality Power Rack). 1) I made an awesome DIY Cable Belt Squat Platform, using the bottom seated row cable and feeding it through the 2 pulley wheels on to the cable holder that's at about crotch level so you don't have to get onto your knees to hook on the belt squat Belt to the cable. 2) I DIYed probably the best Cable Crossover Chest Fly I have ever seen, js. I use the best aluminum pulley wheels, I prefer the Blue colored ones because my home gym is Black and Blue for obvious other reasons. It is only hooked onto the Top Lat Pulldown Cable whether you are training to do Cable Chest Flys or hooked onto the Bottom for training Lower Chest, or doing Arm Curls. You'll have to see a picture to really know what I'm describing, but it's badass and smooth as butter. I even bought Blue Cable to make my own custom length cable and crimped it myself with aluminum ferrules and ball stops, just like any gym cable machine in the neighborhood. It's also 1 : 1.25 cable pulley weight ratio so that means I don't loose any poundage by using the cables, like most cable power racks do. Example: if I put 100 pounds on my DIY cable pulley machine, you are pushing about 120 pounds. These other cable machines are usually 2 : 1 cable pulley weight ratio, meaning that you loose 50% poundage: if you have 100 pounds on the their machines you're only actually pushing 50 pounds. 3) I have others but I said enough here already.
Man that's an awesome list of upgrades! You brought your squat rack into a different world!! I like the preset belt squat setup! Definitely a knee saver for sure! Oh you totally goota keep the black and blue theme going, it gives you plus 10 strength of course!! The blue cable is a nice touch. I'm thinking of getting actual cable for gyms soon. Did you have use a special crimping tool?
