      +marmalize yeah but a lot of people don't like that texture on their nose so they still try to get rid of it. But it doesn't ever permanently go away for most people, if they're sebaceous filaments and not real blackheads

    • @DelphinusFNT
      @DelphinusFNT 8 лет назад +3

      Yes! If you remove them you make an irreversible damage to your skin

  • @cherryblossomings
    @cherryblossomings 8 лет назад +8

    Judy those aren't blackheads, they're sebaceous filaments and they're perfectly normal! they help channel the natural flow of sebum. removing them so abrasively irritates the skin and causes them to grow back even more :(

    • @rachelwalton3772
      @rachelwalton3772 3 года назад

      I did not know this! But aren't blackheads just sebaceous filaments that have been exposed to the air at the skin level and oxidised (gone black)?

    • @alinaz3965
      @alinaz3965 3 года назад +1

      really?

  • @skincarewithaustin
    @skincarewithaustin 8 лет назад +6

    Besides these being sebaceous filaments (which other comments have addressed if you're curious), this is an insanely easy way of causing broken capillaries... I'm not going to shame you and say to not do them because you do you, but if you do, DEFINITELY peel them off slower and with more care than Judy did here. Broken capillaries do NOT go away unless treated with a laser.

    As satisfying as it is to do trying to get rid of sebaceous filaments is a big ole waste of money! I wish I was told that when I was a lot younger I stressed so much!

    • @caty2ful
      @caty2ful 8 лет назад

      Why is it a waste of money?

    • @SimderZ
      @SimderZ 8 лет назад +11

      +caty2ful because they are not blackheads, its your bodies way of keeping OUT bacteria. They will just refill but this time other nasties may get in now that you have holes were the gland used to be. This can lead to infection.

    • @caty2ful
      @caty2ful 8 лет назад +2

      SimderZ But we have to take them out...I know they come again, but it´s awful to see them on the face,I always take everything out :)

    • @yoadrian2630
      @yoadrian2630 8 лет назад +2

      +SimderZ When I took them out for the first time, I broke out with pimples.. No Bueno because they lasted a while...

    • @sams517
      @sams517 8 лет назад +1

      +caty2ful you don't "have" to take them out actually because it's good bacteria that's meant to be there. Blackheads are different so people try to get rid of them.

  • @94kaycrackin
    @94kaycrackin 8 лет назад +5

    2 mins of research will tell you that pore strips are horrible for your skin and are more damaging than helpful, please don't try these.

  • @MarMar828
    @MarMar828 8 лет назад +7

    These are terrible to use for your skin. They can cause broken capillaries and irreversible damage. Judy talks about how oily her skin is and how frustrating it can be to deal with, maybe reassessing skincare wouldn't be a bad idea......

    • @maura6335
      @maura6335 8 лет назад +3

      I agree! Such bad advice :(

  • @SimderZ
    @SimderZ 8 лет назад +48

    Those are not black heads they are pores which are filled with a special antibacterial substance that your body produces to protect itself. Everyone seems to think they are black heads but they are not. I understand we may see them as unsightly but removing them will just leave holes were bacteria will get in a possibly give you spots or worse infection.

      +BriBri97 a chemical exfoliant. They aren't something that can physically be extracted with a mask. Look into an AHA or BHA product

    • @esmeralda6159
      @esmeralda6159 8 лет назад +7

      Yes but the strips leave your nose so smooth

    • @maura6335
      @maura6335 8 лет назад +1

      +Savage User yep, but they harm your skin long term. AHA/BHA products mare your skin smooth too, without ripping/tearing it.

    Have the strip on now. Already cleansed then applied strip as I just remembered I had them. Will try pre-cleaning tomorrow to see the difference. Always thought if cleansed enough, do not need these. Also, those white/grey globules the stip pulled out were sebaceous fillamnets, not blackheads, right? So good to make pores look smaller but these are, at some point, oil that your face needs. But does not mean seeing them come out is any less satisfying as I am a repeated offender for squeezing these filaments outs. Hopefully these strips are less harmful? Just trying them for a bit of fun anyway.
    I really like how this video is short and sharp, to the point. A very helpful video review.

  • @thehauntedmansionfan

    Those are not blackheads. Blackheads cannot be removed by a pore strip. You are removing a build up of oil from your pores, but they are not blackheads. Also, if are going to use pore strips, you must make sure to immediately moisturizer your face to fill those pores with good stuff.

    I remember watching April's vlog and she had a skin specialist friend on her channel. She said pore strips are actually really bad for your skin because it takes out the blackheads but it simply just opens it up so it could get more. So it's kinda counterproductive.

      Thank you! I was reading the comments to see if anyone would say that. Plus, pore strips aren't that great for your pores anyway. Sebaceous filaments are just going to come right back in a few days, they're totally normal.

    You should try the Sephora brand nose strips! Those are my fav. They smell a little funky but the best I've tried.

    Actually those aren't black heads. you have tiny hairs on your nose and that's just dirt and make up residue

    dont forget to wash your face after using it or the glue will stuck under the pore and make a new pimple. it sucks.

    Did she mean new for her or new to the shelves because I have been using those for years, or did they change the formula or something?
