- Once again I'm on southern Dartmoor for a solo hike I start from Ivy Bridge and head up to Butterdon hill where I start my video from. I I aim to make my way to Piles copse Avon Reservoir then down to South brent. I also get to try out my new camera and do some underwater shots for the first time I hope you enjoy.
oo, permission.. have a word for next spring ;) haha. Some nice footage mate, clear waters and loverly woods :)
Will do and I feel another you tube meet happening 😁👍
yes! haha it looks a great spot mate
Dartmoor Explorer nice to be able to sit round a fire when there is beer 🍺 and chatting to do👍
Some amazing views and landscapes! You have a new subscriber from Canada. Thanks!
Thanks mate really appreciated 😁👍
Great vid,enjoyed watching!
Thanks for watching Paula glad you enjoyed it 😁👍
I do love Dartmoor, it's where most of my training was done in 79 and I've been back there dozens of times over the decades since then, Black a tor copse is a brilliant place to visit, done it a couple years back when camped at Meldon reservoir, not done hardly any of south Dartmoor but will get round to it, nice video bud, atb, Paul.
Thanks Paul and it was only the second time on southern Dartmoor for me and it sounds like there could be a meet up in the spring on Dartmoor if your up for it😁👍
Great video. Shalom
Glad you enjoyed the video thanks for watching 😁👍
Nice one Carl, shame about the wind but the scenery looked lovely with the variation of colours :)
Yes definitely need a muff😁
Nice views👍
Thanks Rob and you will have to plan another visit down to the moors and maybe give me a shout 😁👍
Dartmoor Explorer yep sounds good. Let me pm you we will sort it.atb Rob
Haha that wind is brutal over there!!! It can get bad in parts over here but in Dartmoor it always seems windy lol! Looked like a really nice walk about! Cheers bud! :)
Any chance the pine cone got brought in on a flood stream?
Yeah always windy that' why I really need to get a muffler 😁👍
And no there' no chance there's no trees in the direction the flood stream would of come from pluss we'v had a bit of rain but not that much 😁👍
Fantastic video! I love not necessarily doing a long walk but just taking in the beauty :) considering when doing ten tors this isn't a thing.
😁👍
Nice tour about m8
Thanks mate😁👍
Good outing and a nice trial flight, which was an interesting addition to the walk. An old feel to the Oak does make sense - in other words a timeless feel. All the best. Mark
Thanks Mark 😁👍
Loved your underwater filming Carl,, ala Jacques Cousteau :)
Any-chance i can borrow whatever camera it was to Film me Fish in me Pond in me Garden this Winter??, as the water in there is crystal clear over the winter months and i'd love to see them "up close and personal" in their environment.
Anyways ... keep up the good work Carl "stunning , absolutely stunning " Standen :)
Thanks Martin and I will lend you my camera 😁👍
Interesting about the fire - like you I thought fires were not appropriate as part of the Camping by-laws - but go back and read the sign - as suggested I paused on that part of the film and noted some interesting wording.
Oops, after posting I went back to vid and saw you had addressed my above comments in the video.
Thanks for watching sorry for the late reply 😁👍
