    Absolutes Fantastisches Schiff diese Galeone!! Vor lauter Neid könnt ich platzen!! Ich liebe diese Schiffe über alles, versuche sie auch sehr genau zu zeichnen, da ich sie für Briefe verwende, die ich im 18oo Jahrhundert style Schrift schreibe und noch dazu ein schönes Wach Siegel mit einem Wappen drauf und Kordel, bringt einen schnell zurück in diese Zeit der Renaissance. Sehr gute Arbeit hast du dir da geleistet!! Daumen Hoch!!!!

    I am also building this wonderful model boat however I am having a problem with the hinges for attaching the rudder. I feel that the brass strips are too tough for this procedure how does one go about attaching the rudder

    Quelle méthode avez vous utilisé pour faire le calfatage de votre pont ?
    Votre travail est magnifique. Je suis en train de faire le Soleil Royal d’Artesiana Larina . Il lui ressemble un peu
    Encore BRAVO

      You are only partially correct. She had been laid-up for 9 years and in 1660 she was significantly rebuilt to the point of being s new ship. She was rearmed to a 100 gun First Rate (6 guns removed), with flatter gun decks and the majority of her beautiful carvings removed. She did not resembled her original form, hence the name change.

    Was this ship built as a "statement" for diplomatic purposes, or was it a serious warship? Probably both, but you can imagine the serious fighting seamen being irritated by all the decoration and gold leaf, and those who admired its beauty being heartbroken seeing it all smashed and ruined the first time the ship went into battle. It's almost an exact cross between the Mary Rose of 1512 and Nelson's HMS Victory of 1765 - though Victory was clearly not an artistic statement like this ship was.

    • @lutzderlurch7877
      @lutzderlurch7877 2 года назад

      Victory was more plain, in comparison, following a long, gradual trend, but Even Victory, when newly built, was absolutely stunning in her decorations and paint, her elegant lines etc.
      As per 1st battle, unless in rare cases, these ships did rarely sink by gunfire and the damage was less than we sometimes come to expect after growing up with explosives filled action movies and blockbusters.

    Ich habe viele Modellle der SotS gesehen, und sehr viele sind eher mies, mit Proportionen und Linien die total daneben liegen. Dieses Modell ist mMn sehr gelungen, Herr Mathis

      I doubt that. He created the “Ship Tax” to pay for the original vessel which resulted in the English Civil War. I’m sure that every model of the Sovereign Of The Seas that has been built since his beheading causes him to roll over in his grave yet again.
