What do you guys think of Baptiste so far in Stage 2 and the overall increase in hero pick diversity?
Bapiste brings something new to the table but sadly he mostly gets used in goats comps

This is what I like about eSports. Strategy is always affected by the smallest thing possible. The NYXL got butterfly effect'd by a single Sombra. Good Job Seoul. Keep up the good work
Thanks for the kind words! While a bit of a big time-investment, we definitely plan to try to make more of these int he future. 👍
Ryujehong was actual hiding behind enemy lines and was found by libero on brig and so jumped off.
I was watching his perspective. He was the only one still alive after that time fight and was like. Welp. I guess i"ll wait here because I can't escape. They'll probably never find m- Oh shit its Libero.

Akshon: Munchikin
Jesk and Munchikin
This actually made me giggle a bit
I was hoping somebody would say something about it XD
surely he knows how to pronounce Munchkin right
Bothered me the whole vid 😂
More like: how NYXL failed to kill a Sombra 4 maps in a row
AusDaes - Overwatch kinda hard when she’s always running away
Maybe you shouldn't be randomly stating this without any knowledge whatsoever
Can't,because when a hero in goats meta just run away from the team to kill sombra,it can be easy for the enemy team to kill goats, second if the whole team go for sombra,it will just bring more advantages for the enemy team, third, sombra in owl actually go with the team sometimes, not just flanking,so its even harder to kill her
Last but not least, the sombra you saw in owl is far different from the sombra you saw in your comp game, the players should know how to play her properly
Their weakness is and always has been adapting to what's being thrown at them.
@@lypreila7913 tf you talking about lmao, look at the other comments and learn something

Extremely well edited, paced, and narration. The quality of your channel's content is just exemplary!
Agreed! I usually don't understand much from the original videos so I really like these.

But they didn’t realize that at 10:31 it was only a 5 man emp not a 6 man, they didn’t fact check which was as simple as looking at the top right instead of they just went off the commentators.

And you are to. It’s just buggy. Using that same logic overwatch is also trash cuz of its shit community. It’s even worse than the pedo filled smash community

Yeah
Overwatch players: "Please OW gods, give us an answer to this scourge that is GOATs!"
Overwatch: "...bean here all along!"
Overwatch players: "plis no sombra"
Michelle has got it right. NYXL is a great team, but let's be honest, Jjonak is borderline carry for them. At the very least, he's their best player. You cripple Jjonak and you cripple their team. Imagine how tilted he must have been getting hacked twice when he wanted to use trans, not even EMPed, but hacked. And to be entirely fair, the dominant zenyatta this game was Dynasty's, which I never thought I'd say about Jjonak.
tbh I don't think Jjonak tilted off that. Playing pro kind of requires the ability to keep a level head at all times. That said, it definitely would have been frustrating. In a way I think it might have been on Meko, because of D.Va's ability to spy check and interrupt hacks from a million miles away being potentially able to save Jjonak from that hack if he reacted quickly enough.
You really expect Jjonak, a pro Zen player, to get mad about Sombras? The second he sees a Sombra he already 100% knows that she will be out for him. Getting target hacked or EMPed as a Zen is like part of Jjonaks job. No way he would get mad.

'one can see the discipline: he didn't ult until after the grav' bisch he was hacked and ulted as early as possibly

She also says it when she gets discorded, which reveals her

A replay of Lunatic Hai vs LW Blue during Apex. Esca on Sombra + 2 heals. LW Blue didn't know what to do and got destroyed.
Great vid, I watched live and was as confusled as anyone when Nenne 'ulted' Michelle at the end. Love the analysis as always.
BTW munchkin is pronounced munch-kin, not munch-uh-kin. It is 2 syllables.
He's not entirely wrong with pronouncing it as "munch-uh-kin." It is how Koreans pronounce it due to the way the Korean language is (consonant-vowel-consonant structuring). So yeah, he was basically pronouncing it how Koreans say "Munchkin".
Must be a Canadian thing
Nenne graved him to kill him because Nenne knew he had EMP
@@finndawg7312 I know, they showed the replay live. If it worked it would have been massive, but it was not to be. #Michellecarry
Been waiting for this one. Best esports related Overwatch channel, even though Blizzard doesn't appreciate Akshon, the owl fans do!
Thanks!
I love this style of video so much more than the interviews, please plwase please do more of these!!!
One of the best OW content developers! Love the video!
Amazing video with some beautiful insight into one of the most exciting games so far this year. Keep up the awesome work!!!
I love this video - shows me the utility and good positioning that a good sombra should have!
You make the overwatch league seem like WW2
Thank you! This is one of the best match analysis and ow content I've ever seen!
What an amazing video... I loved it... It was so interesting for noobie like me ^^ Well done ! From France ;)
Bonjour homme
Great break down! As a Sombra main since launch it's so nice to no longer get complaints when I use her!
These are both my fav teams so it’s great to watch this in depth.
That was such a great analysis! Thank you.
Im sure this channel should be more popular this video helped me a lot to get into sombra and play good with her
I dont watch overwatch, but goddamn your videos just make it so interesting! Keep up the amazing work!

@@soonftww yea id sooner die but thx
3:55 "They spent 45 seconds doing nothing" - Actually thats 45seconds less on the clock for the Dynasty. I dont think that was a wrong play. otherwise in the next fight they would have lost to EMP anyways and if that happens fast it maybe will take them only 35 seconds if they regroup fast and rush them. In my eyes nyxl made a good decision. But overall a great Video! But let me quote SF Shock's Super on this one. "They chose Sombra because they are inferior with 3-3." I know sombra could be used by both teams but in the 3-3 meta game its like admitting you cant compete with the top teams without her.
yes I love these videos! They’re back!
With more to come!
Got goosed bump! every single time when i watch these Pro player!
As an NYXL fan this video hurts but I’m still watching it
great content & narration
I appreciate the breakdown.
This Is heart wrenching to watch again 😭😭😭😭
I love how sombra is one of the most usefull heros in the game but she is one of the least picked heros
She’s difficult and very situational hero imo, no one can just pick her she takes skill to play at a higher level
I feel like she's over-hyped. I mean, yeah, she can be very useful in the right situation at the right time, but most of the match, she's basically underpowered. But she's always the hero that's based around unrealized potential. That time everything goes right, Sombra looks amazing, but there's a reason that vanilla GOATs is still the most popular and most successful team comp.
She is useful in some situations.
@@taragnor I'm new to Overwatch and sort of found myself fumbling around trying to find a hero that suited me. Sombra seemed to be a perfect match because she's a very tactical DPS character, I do completely agree with what you're saying though. When the timing is right and you can get a 5/6 player EMP with your team at close quarters, you look incredible, but you also get a lot of games where you're just hacking health packs and nobody is taking advantage of when you're hacking the other team's Tanks. I know things change depending on what level you're playing at but I feel like that feeling with Sombra still probably replies regardless of how good you are. Whether or not you look good depends pretty heavily on whether your team takes advantage of the mismatches you make by hacking & preventing abilities and Ults with EMPs.
@@mattnorris7124 I find that in solo queue, hacking the supports are more effective bc it's easier to kill them. If your team follows up though, a tank hack is also good.
at the beggining staying on the attacking side is good by nyxl because jjonak can react on time agaisnt emp, it also stalls the payload as long as possible
AMAZING VIDEO!!!!
I think that Nenne played an amazing set, although it was risky the grav would’ve won the game for them so it’s 50 50.
No
He just explained why they wouldn't win the fight even if he got the sombra due to the support ults Seoul already had
@@bhanuvardhan yeh but the chances would atleast be higher if it worked... the fact that he failed the grav only guaranteed their defeat but if he didnt fail the chances of winning coulda been higher no doubt
john sambilad I agree with both of these comments
Nenne played poorly. No one can botch a grav worse than he can, especially for a professional level player. Replace Nenne with Geguri and you got yourself an A-list team again.
Sombra has always been good, glad she's being used more
Sombra is truly extraordinary, this is why I tell people who I hack, when I emp so they can combo it, so it can do a cleanup. So awesome.
Finally another behind the akshon :D
*This 👏🏻 is 👏🏻 why 👏🏻 you 👏🏻 main 👏🏻 Sombra👏🏻*
I mean, I have alot of respect for Sombra mains. But me being a flex, I cannot play her. With Sombra, there is no middle ground; you're either really good or absolute garbage. I tried a few weeks ago in qp, but realized I wasn't contributing much, and immediately switched to Soldier.
@@ThatLaloBoy im a sombra main it took some time for me to get really good with her. Now I play her the best out of the rest of my mains
Or not... because she is extremely situational and requires a lot of communication and coordination to play, and this is comp we are talking about...
@Lexi it’s just that you don’t know how to play her because you she can easily carry her team only using her hack, I tried it before and succeeded. It’s all about the player because she is a hard character to play but it has nothing to do with coordination or the situation
Sebastian Meraz how can you tell me what i dont know how to play? Do you play with me? No, i didnt think so. I do play sombra, and if you do, you should know that she is not always a good pick and running sombra into many comps contributes less than just going dps or off tank. As for communication, unless you have a good team that knows when to follow up without being told to, yes, communication is a necessity.
Glad to see sombra getting some love in league
more video like this plz!!!
Whats nice here is seoul took the current meta and made a slight ajustment and came out super strong in the end and i think thats a good thing because one of the things i hate about League fights are the same characters on both teams so you dont have diversity in how the teams fight, its all the same every match. I love the fact that a character who many consider weak or useless makes such an impact in pro-play. Good job Dynasty!
Finally, more analysis
Really unique to see how goats variations can adapt and counter one another. Unrelated note, I'm curious to know if any pros are going to try adapting Baptiste into a new goats variant.
The dynasty has to be my favourite team because if they didn't try to counter GOATS the meta would probably be GOATS but just with Reaper and Mei
I like when you speed up the gameplay in Rialto it looks like little bugs jumping around and fighting😂
I will never forget that grav.
This is some quality content
If u notice on nyxl last attack anamo got killed a split second b4 transcendence was used so maybe if he doesn't die they might have won but it's a big if
Im not very into OWL but starting to knew few pro players. And seeing this footage, is amazing. Especially how Jjonak always manage to read Sombra's move, dodge it n save his teammate as best as possible. But sadly not enough to carry the game to win. Still, awesome video and match tho.
Phenomenal video.
It wasn't just Nenne, Anamo gets picked at the break of the fight chasing after RJH and so he cannot trail Jjonak with a beat.
This is why Dynasty will always be my favorite team.
for info! EMP disables all abilities as well as passives that require the press of a button (e.g wall riding and wall climbing but does not include (for example) sombra's opportunist, or rein's knock-back resistance.) it also disables all shields (the blue part of your health-bar) so zen is reduced to 50hp and zarya to 200hp. it destroys all tank and brig shields to 0hp HOWEVER if the tank/berig drops shield before emp (it is not active, like rein dropping shield - this obviously does not work for winston or orisa as their shields are completely external to their own will aside from placement - (sigma can also recall his shield) then the remaining hp left on the shield stays, the ability to use it is taken away.
What’s the website called where you have a top down view of all the maps and hero tokens you can place in positions? He used it at 2:46
4:33 Jayne had to be told by sometime to rewind and watch the clip of that
i wish my games were this cool and fun
That kind of content make want to play more
I fully expected NYXL to lose to any teams in the playoffs, because that is their legacy as LW Blue.
If nenne hits that grav that would be one of the best plays last season
Hanzo/widowmaker/headcount for sombra...Also count 3 seconds when half fighting and then back up and look for sombra
the fact that this video exists makes me think that people still don't know that Sombra is really good
I love these videos
dynasty and shock easily had the best new pickups this season by far.
Glad to see one team actually think to counter a group comp.
NYXL is probably my fav team ngl.
Honestly Nenne has eyes of a hunter....Really wanted to see them go against Vancouver.

Pro-tip if you listen to the casters and desk analysts pronounce the players' names they usually get it right. Most of the owl staff have ties with the players and team faculties, so they make it their job to get as much right as they can. The only exception I've found is guxue which apparently you need to be a chinese speaker to pronounce.
