The last sequence between Kyrie/Luka was funny. They both over passed to each other leading to not even an attempt by either. There needs to be a clutch time hierarchy.

Kyrie wanted that more than the entire Mav team. last play you can see he didn't want to step on Luka's toes and tried to give him the final shot. That's where this tea, need's to develop. This game was all Kyrie so he should've hoist after he pump faked Edwards because that was poor spacing by Luka that allowed 2 players to cover Kyrie on that pass back.
To me it looked like they both slipped and had to pass. Then Kyrie lost it after a fake pass but he should've actually passed it because Luka was open for the shot. These guys are both so good at situational basketball that is pretty much only because of a wet floor and a freak drop that they didn't get a shot off.
That’s the problem with players who can’t do anything for the team without the ball. That’s why curry is the best point guard off the ball .
They will figure it out. They havent played enough yet to understand the dynamic

Even though Dallas has lost 2 games since lukas return playing with Kyrie but this is just the start and they are both adjusting to each other. Almost comeback down from 26pts deficit.
I think adding Kyrie as a legitimate scoring threat in the postseason is a huge get for Dallas.
Kyrie antics aside, Luka gets worn down with how much work he has to do on offense. Adding someone that run the offense himself could be huge in balancing Luka's workload.

If you watch again it appears they both slipped or tripped. First Kyrie slips and passes to Luka, then Luka trips and passes back, then Kyrie fakes a pass that he really should've passed because Luka was open. Then a freak drop of the ball occurs and it's game over

Kyrie should have started as point guard right from the very beginning of the game and stay as main point guard when he's on the floor. He was only allowed to take control of the game on the 4th quarter where he excelled and delivered, but not enough to complete the task. Should be the main point guard whenever inside the court. JKidd should learn that by now after the closing quarter where Kyrie took control. Maybe next game.

It is a shame that the Mavericks lost. They have one of the best players in the NBA, Kyrie Erving, but they are not benefitting from his extraordinary talents well. Only when he was allowed to play, he did miracles in the 4th quarter. He was amazing.

Said it from the first day Kyrie got traded to Dallas. This ain't gonna work. Not because they can't put up big number or assist. Their defense will get worst and because these 2 and maybe Wood will put up 75% of their scoring the other players will be cold when it comes to make shoots...i hope I will be wrong, but first 2 game together proved me right.
That’s how any big 3 works. The main people do majority of scoringnwhile the role players do the dirty work. But they’re essential to the team

The Mavs needed a little more success in 3-point shooting. They are the third most outside shooting team, just behind the Celtics and Warriors. When Josh gets better scoring and they work better zone defence with Maximilian back, the team will be a real tough nut to crack. Also important now are the scoring of Reggie and Jaden

At the end they both lost their footing and had to pass it but I don't know why Kyrie did a fake pass on the last one and then lost the ball. Luka was open. Good game though. It seemed like a playoff type game with the excitement of the crowd.

Dallas defense has been the issue always. Luka slows down the game to reduce the possessions that worked better for the defense until now. But they play at a higher pace and look they put up 120+ after kyrie came which they never did before. But now their defense is cooked.
A lot of oppurtunity in that play but kyrie did not take that shot and then they lost

But they traded for Justin Holiday who is an average wing who will sitting on the bench for sure. Bullock is solid defender but to small, weak defender and inconsitent shooter. Period. I knew Kyrie trade would be not enough. There are so many inconsisitent players in this Dallas' team.
