Christine's brand is actually based in the US, but the shipping is expensive because they are shipping nail polish. Her and Ben have talked about it in her podcast, they've said the shipping you pay is literally what the service charges them, there's no mark up on the shipping
i am always so tempted to buy but i really cant do USD35 to ship nail polish to Asia sobs
They also explained with expansion of the brand, the shipping cost will lower too at some point (like all brands do!) because that's just how businesses work, so they ARE aware of how high shipping prices are and they're working on it as best they can for all of da holosexuals!!♡

From the eu its about 60 dollars
nail polish is a hazmat item and requires a long process before being sent off to make sure it is cushioned and cannot move because if one of their products would break, the shipping company could fine them hundreds of thousands of dollars or refuse them service and will not ship for them again.
Simply has come out with a few collections since this video came out. Her stuff is really high quality and she personally does months-years working on formulas and takes most of the photos on her site herself
just an fyi, holo taco ships out of new jersey, they intentionally picked a facility in the usa to keep prices lower for her american customers!! it's just super expensive to ship nail polish :)

the thing with high prices those days is that we are used to prices like Shein or H&M and we forget that quality usually costs because there is so much more behind the clothing than just packing and shipping it .. i mean yeah not everyone can afford it but that's just how life works 😅

I just found Holo Taco via some podcast videos on RUclips and didn’t know the gal had ALL THAT nail polish. I don’t wear polish myself but it looks pretty and I love the discussions those two have on their pod!!

What I love about ToLuca is that they also have picture of girls who are not just skinny! I love if brands have models of all sizes. I don't know way, maybe because I am also on the bigger side that it makes me feel comfortable knowing that I would look nice in it when there is also a plus size woman wearing it

The inclusive is supposed to be SIZE inclusive. I mean chubby models and all! 👍
people act like it’s not super expensive for small brands to create unique pieces. Everyone is so used to target/ Walmart pricing and small companies cannot compete with those behemoths
@@Nikiforas Sure but it's still unaffordable for most people. I can understand why it would be more than Target, but there's a point where only people who can afford to spend lots of clothes can buy any of these clothes, which makes business for the brand a lot slower. There are lots of RUclipsr brands I would love to try out to support them and see what it's like, but I just can't afford it. I don't have 80 dollars to spend on a hoodie.

Love Holo Taco for all of their unicorn skin toppers. Definitely seal it in with their glossy Toco!!! I purchased Aurora Unicorn Skin and Solar Unicorn Skin. Love how they look different when layered over different colors. I used to hate doing my nails but this stuff lasts so long it makes it worth the effort 🙂

When it comes to Toluca I think it was the fact that they teased it so much and it was SO expensive... so many people got excited and then it was so much more than we thought

Ive ordered multiple times from Rosie Daze and Ive come to the realization, its not worth it. Out of all of my orders I only have one item that I didnt ultimately donate and that has actually held up. They have major inconsistencies in quality

I don’t know why people are hurt about the timing. They had no idea covid was going to happen.. when you invest thousands of dollars into a company you need to eventually launch.. just like big companies release collections..
Tyler brought up a good point, they probably meant to launch it in the summer! But felt like they needed to wait.. so I think they did what they could under the circumstances
@@hopescope Whitney said they were supposed to launch early summer but Covid delayed everything, so it got pushed to October.
For half of the world, it launched at the beginning of Summer. So I don't think it's a massive deal. I imagine a massive amount of Kiwis and Aussies make up a portion of their clientele.
