Ever since GT3 A Spec I’ve been wanting this car in the game for sooo long. I’m excited to drive it. Also super happy they added the rally car wing so I can replicate the Vavoline Esscort Rally Car From GT3
You're not the only one. When I replicate the Valvoline Escort Rally Car & tuned it to my rally build, the memories struck me like a flash flood! I used to drive the Escort Rally Car in GT4 all the time whenever I do rallying! Dirt or snow!
@@alistairwalker2850 It was another but same looking wing between the current one and the trunk prolly to increase aero, it was featured in a Wheeler Dealer episode where Frank Stephenson talked about it
I thought that RT would have the biggest impact in chasecame, but the interior view is even more visibly enhanced than chasecame....the way lights bounce off from the dashboard is so realistic...the effect is even more prominent during night time
Although not exactly the same car, Gran Turismo 2 was meant to have a Road version of the Ford Escort, the 1.8i, but it didn't get far outside a thumbnail in the demo versions that was scrapped in the final. I'm glad to see a long, overdue appearance of a cut car just like the 996 991 GT3, even though it's not the same trim planned for GT2.
The Escort GTi did have unused car logo and description text (which was actually used as Escort WRC's description text in the Japanese version of GT2).
Escort RS Cosworth, another one of my favorite cars in 1.54! Part of the FIA Group A Rally Homologation, this Escort was in co-development with a British engineering company Cosworth. Same with Sierra, which is another Group A homologated car but it does touring championships and WRC. Fair enough, the Sierra Cosworth RS500 was added last year, and good thing her lil’ brother Escort is here now. If you notice in the previous GT titles from GT2 to GT6, you can see that THIS Escort represented as a 1998 WRC Rally car only, driven by Juha Kankkunen. Also, if you play the past NFS games like Prostreet, Undercover, and Shift titles, you’d definitely remember this car. Especially in Forza titles where it was available in the game series since FM4. And I’ve known that Ken Block owns one of them for Gymkhana 10 and one of his latest Rally cars for his own team, Hoonigan. In FH5, you’d be able to drive his Cossie V2. And as a surprising fact, this new GT7 update was released on his birthday. So yes, Happy birthday in heaven, KB43! 🎂 (R.I.P Ken Block) 🕊️ Glad to see the Rally rear wing in GT Auto, but most of the Rally parts weren’t available here for the road car, sadly. Maybe the WRC Rally version from the previous GTs should come back to GT7 soon.
Hoping in the future updates they should bring back the Speedline Wheels from GT3 A-Spec and GT4 so that they would complete the Group A replica builds in the game.
How is VR? Is there RT in the cockpit in VR? I mainly notice better lighting when people go through tunnels in cockpit view without VR.Curious if it's the same for VR. It's honestly hard to tell during the day.
I'm only basing this off forum posts, but VR apparently uses no RT. It cranks up the details though, so it more closely matches the regular game graphics details. People say this is very noticeable and good. Also, the game now has a reprojection toggle, which makes the game feel more like it's running at 90-120fps, though with some artefacts from the technique.
@PeterHas Really would have liked RT in VR. It looks pretty good inside the car on the flat screen. VR is how I spend the majority of my time in GT7, so I'm mostly on the fence about getting the Pro if the VR experience/change. It's already very good and very clear on the base PS5. Guess I'll wait and see more VR videos. Lol.
@@joescivic I just watched videos by MrDeathwishVR and Kireth about the Pro patch and VR changes. It made me understand a bit more how VR works in GT7 and what's changed. Basically, GT7 already uses "reprojection" which is kind of like a basic interpolation to increase the framerate from 60 to 120 in VR. This reprojection causes double images and more blur. In the Pro patch they've added a new more advanced reprojection method that seems more adaptive or intelligent, so you get a more native 120fps looking image with minimal artefacts. Both of them say the improvement is significant, I especially recommend the MrDeathwishVR video. I also have a regular PS5 and VR2, and I'm not as bothered by the artefacts and relative blur as those two youtubers. But I'm sure if I saw the difference in person I would probably understand what they're talking about.
@PeterHas Yeah, I watched Kireths video. I can't really go by his though. He always says a bunch of ridiculous things. Lol. Sometimes wrong too. Like how stable the recording in the VR garage looked on the Pro, but on PS5, it was shaking. I've recorded before on mine and it was smooth. Not much from that guy I can take seriously. Lol. I'll have to look at the other one you mentioned.
I prefer roof camera but I also don't think that chase camera in GT7 is bad. Some people prefer camera from GT Sport, but I don't. I think it was to "bendy".
They *still* have not fixed the Broken Animation on Cars with a Manual Gearbox, even after 2/3 Years? I am beginning to question Polyphony's Competence...
@@olavofernandes7286 The hand does not return to the wheel after the change like it did in GT:S, so the Animation is Broken, keeping your hand on the shifter like that will get you *black flagged* at a Trackday, so it cannot be intentional, thus, the Animation must be broken!
@@simeonyves5940The animation isn't broken lmao. I dunno what to call this term in IT, but it's what keeps them on the shifter until the steering wheel is at 90° on both sides. They could adjust them, but they chose not to as it is not their priority and waste of time. I'd think they would on the next game.
@@KikuraKun The term IIRC is "Trigger Parameters" , I hope that helps.
