  • Queensland Premier Steven Miles and state Opposition Leader David Crisafulli have faced off in a cost-of-living showdown.
The topic is considered to be a key issue for Queenslanders as the two party leaders battled it out for who could provide the most effective relief for struggling constituents.
Mr Miles faced a tough question from a man about to become homeless.
“Please reach out to us,” the Premier told his constituent.
Mr Crisafulli slammed the sitting government’s social housing policy, claiming it has “not kept pace”.

FFS its Energy. Remove the infantile and unworkable Net Zero BS and provide cheap energy and all other costs will follow.
Tinkering around the edges will do SFA.

That's the main driver of the cost of living and the real inflation rate. Ignore the fictitious official rate - it's fake to placate the masses.

Solar's the cheapest energy by far. Don't know what you're on about.

@@Iron_of_manFake news. If it's the cheapest then why the massive subsidies by governments? In any case, it's not baseload so it's stupid to rely on solar 100%.

BTW, the real inflation is rate more than double the official rate. One doesn't need to be a rocket scientist to see with their eyes how much prices across the board have increased a lot over the past few years. Petrol, food, houses, etc.......

These parties last week bought in the Respect at Work and other Matters Amendment Bill 2024 which is akin to the Federal Misinformation Bill where anyone posting on social media is deemed to be doing a “public act” and includes ALL forms of communication, including speaking, writing, displaying notices, playing of recorded material, broad casting and communicating through social, media and other electronic methods to the public.
nd any public act found offensive by a reasonable person of the minority people it describes is then chargeable under section 52A of the criminal code, carrying a maximum sentence of three years jail time.

They? One party has been in government for over 20 years and the other in opposition. I think the big problem in Queensland is the voters that keep doing the same thing and expect a different result

Which party or candidates will be REPEALING the following bills?
In 2021 Queensland abolished private property ownership when Property Title Deeds became digitised NSW did this in 2022, other states have also gone down this path these replaced the previous paper Title Deeds which were destroyed (the Queensland Government and Banks have committed a criminal act destroying these records, which has a maximum penalty of 10 years) they became null and void.
Your only proof you own your property is the number allocated to on a digital certificate if you can get it as many requests have been refused.
The new digital certificates do NOT show lawful proof of historical ownership and carry NO LEGAL WEIGHT, as did our previous Certificate of Titles as the value of a property is held in the TITLE DEEDS.
The Queensland Government also added a new section (215) into The Land, Explosives and Other Legislation amendment Act 2019 Queensland that made all Land Title Certificates LEGALLY VOID.
The new Section 215 in the Land Title Act 1994 states:
Certification of title cease to be instruments:
    (1) On the commencement, a certificate of title -
    a) Ceases to be an instrument under this Act; and
    b) Ceases to be evidence, conclusive or otherwise, of the indefeasible title for the lot for which it was issue.
    (2) To remove any doubt, it is declared that subsection
    (1) does not affect-
    (a) the indefeasible title for the lot for which the certificate of title was issued; or
    (b) any interest in the lot for which the certificate of title was issued.
