This man was so incredibly talented. He rarely looked at the keys, yet never missed a note! He is my hero. Always wanted to play like him. I read somewhere that he practiced for 8 hours a day! No wonder he was SO good!
Fabulous! Absolutely! I used to watch the Lawrence Welk Show every Saturday night as a teenager, with my Dad, also a musician.. Dad always wanted me to play my cello with Welk, and after Dad died, and so had Mr. Welk, living in Escondido, CA at the time, I went to the Welk Resort there and asked if they wanted entertainment in the Lounge at the Restaurant. Yes the did and so I was hired to do that 5 days a week, played the piano in the Dining Room, and Hosted a Show in the Lounge where I could play piano, violin or cello and sing. Those were great years of my life in the 1990s! Now and then musicians and singers from Mr. Welk's former Show would come in and sing or play their instruments. Such fun.
People always claim that someone is the GOAT of this or that, but with the lack of accordion players, I think it's safe to say that Myron is the Undisputed GOAT accordionist.
