I am half filipina, half swedish and I lived in Japan for years. My experience in Japan is ...It is not a country where you can relax. It is all about work and earning money to pay all the bills as it is very expensive in Japan. I think your wife is lucky to have found you because Japanese are not at all symphatic (most japanese not all). But most are cold, not like Filipino who are warm at heart and thoughtful. Cultural differences are common in any relationships whereas the 2 came from different countries, but if your love are strong enough then I am sure you will both overcome that. I AGREE! and sorry if i'm bringing race here but sometime if they knew you're a south-east asian or you look black they kinda had a little racism in them(not all) but i feel it sometime, Japan to me is only good for visiting but working there is too tough, all those salarymen you see at night in shinkansen looks so exhausted, i will only work there if their is a super good company that takes care on employees other than that is a big no. I'm glad that their love is blossom to a good one.

Hnd pa kami inintroduce right away. We were introduced the day after. Hesitant kasi mother ng classmate ng anak ko kasi baka daw babaero ayaw ako malagay sa alanganin. Eh wala eh, Destiny is destiny. You can see, na even na ang pakikipag-relasyon or bf/gf (syota, flirt, fling, MU, etc) ay hindi na kailangan kung tutuusin dahil kung di rin lang naman commited or wala talagang paninindigan upang matuloy sa pagpapakasal, then anu pa ang saysay ng pagiging magnobyo/nobya ninyo (actually sa ibang cultura at lugar walang nobyo/nobya, ang meron lang is napagkasundo or 'bethroted' or engaged which is kasalan ang talagang kakatapusan).
Naniniwala akong ang gf/bf relationship ay isa klase ng social development pagtapos ng mahabang panahon, in which natutunan ng society na maging maluwag sa preparasyon ng pag-aasawa na imbis pumili agad ng mapapanindigan na susuyuin upang mapangasawa, ay maglalaro muna para ma-explore ang social experience ng may kasama at ma-"feel" ang kilig at emosyon na kaakibat nito, in which kapag natapos or naubos na ang feeling ay humihina ang relasyong nobyo/nobya at nagkakahiwalayan. Hanggat walang commitment or paninindigan sa relasyon, ito ay hindi nagtatagal at ang "pagmamahalan" dito ay "feelings" lamang.
