I want to try your meatballs!!! Oh behave!🤣🤣🤣 What a great selection of polish food, don’t know how you decided what to order, amazing! Thanks for sharing👍👍👍💕
Didn't knew Chicago had the most polish people in the USA. One friend ordered Polish food a while ago and he gave me to try it, it was pretty good, everything you guys ate looked pretty tasty, especially the apple pie with the ice cream.
What's up Luis?! We haven't tried the ones at Ann Sather's.. just the cinnamon buns. We'll need to try those out for sure! That patio was super chill. Perfect Saturday.
Hi friends.i love polish food. Haven’t had it in awhile. We used to go to a really nice polish restaurant in philly when I was a kid. Both of your plates looked so good . I love cabbage rolls and pierogis. Meatballs and Sausage looked excellent too. Nice vlog 🌟
Wow! Your food looked amazing! I love the presentation they put into it! Everything looked so good! Especially the potato cake! Yum!😋 And the desert! OMG!! Again the presentation on that was so pretty and yummy!!🤩😋 Great share guys! 😃👍 Hope your having a wonderful weekend!🙋🏻♀️💕
Nabol you're so classy! :) I have a Polish friend and they serve pickled vegetables with every meal. I enjoy it so much! Potato pancakes and apple pie look amazing! I love Polish food, so rich but simple too.
Hey Maria & Nabol!!! Was so great to hang out with you last night at the Mamucho's live!! We didn't know that Chicago had one of the largest Polish communities in the US.. but love that fact. It was great to see the inside of this place and it did look like a cabin!
The outside patio looked really nice as well, and O M G... those meatballs with gravy and mashed potatoes... brought us right to White Food Heaven LOLOL!!! Never had Polish meatballs, but we make Norwegian ones at home.. and they look somewhat similar.. just a darker gravy for the ones we make. That Polish plate that Maria had looked so great as well.. because you could sample different types of dishes. The Perogies and the cabbage roll looked amazing!!
Real man's meatballs - haha interesting name :P but it looks really delish! You both are so adorable when you guys exchange plates :D AWHHHH THAT APPLE PIE!! Just love how it crumbles when you push the fork through it, and topped with the ice cream, that's like heaven! Great video as always guys!
Wow that polish food looks super delicious! Crazy amazing apple pie. Love the touch of blueberrys too. Lol confessionals :) Great foodie recommendation. Best, James and Kim
Polish food is something we haven’t really explored. The meat base dishes look really good! Reminds us of german food, especially with the shredded cabbage. We tried pierogi before and it was so yummm!!! Want to come back for more. Thanks guys for sharing 👍🏻
The polish plate looks awesome Maria, looks like a potato filled with meat lol And the sausage!! Wow! So jealous. We are still on a diet ... a diet that accepts wine
Great video! Those salads looked great. I may have to do some research to find out what kind of dressing they had. Shredded carrots and beets are a common salad in Argentina, and usually the dressing is either apple cider vinegar and salt or lemon juice, olive oil, and salt. I am with Maria: I always get a sampler plate. That way, you get to try everything. That apple pie looked great--but for me, it's not big--it's just a snack, haha. I agree: the ambiance looked amazing, just like a European cottage. This is close to me, so maybe I'll try it at some point. Another great video!
Isn't that cool? We'll need to check out more Polish restaurants for sure. The potato pancake is similar to a hash brown but thinner and crispier. It's so good with the sour cream!
I love the logo with the falling fork. Is that new? I love it!!! Should add a subtle sound effect of the fork falling to highlight it. I did not know that the Polish population was that large. I really like how you guys eat all these different type of foods. Polish food looked so good. Maria, since you are a 🥓 lover, you guys should go to BaconFest in Chicago. Fat toppings are the way to go. That desert is huge. Thank you for taking us through this place. Car food confessionals is one of my favorite parts. Great job!!!
Yes, it's new :-) And that's not a bad idea! Haha Trying different cuisines is one of our favorite things. You can learn so much about a culture through food. Did you say Bacon Fest?!!! What?!!! Glad you enjoy car food confessionals!

Hi! Polish dude here. So everything looked legit :D True, usually in most households in Poland cabbage rolls are served with tomato souce, but for me mushroom gravy also fits that very well. Overall very nice, authentic polish restaurant you got there :) Checked their menu and all items with a word "polish" are indeed true polish dishes. The rest of the food you can also eat in some regions of poland although some people might say otherwise (I travel a lot in poland so i tried various regional dishes). They're very kind with the mushroom sauce Wow the apple pie looks absolutely amazing 🤤🤤🤤 They all look great We never have any Polish food before So thanks for sharing the review guys Have a beautiful day
Wow, I had no idea that Chicago has a big Polish community! My family is originally from Poland, so for me Polish food is THE. BEST. THING. EVER. (now also Korean food, but don't tell Grandma ^^;). The cabin reminds me a lot of houses that you see in the mountains in Poland! That "butter" is called "smalec" in Polish and is a lard spread ^^ The cabbage roll is called "golabki" which means "pigeonies/little pigeons", because in Polish you just cutesify everything by default. Also the apple-pie looks soooo goood! Now I really miss Poland! Thanks a lot for sharing this cool video! Greetings from Seoul! Maybe I can find a Polish restaurant around here, too! ^^
Yeah, the Polish diaspora in Chicago is HUGE!! My grandparents emigrated from Poland to the USA and I'm amazed that they didn't END up in Chicago, as I thought that was a Law!!😀 In Some neighborhoods there, I think English is a secondary language.
Ohhhh I miss polish food... In Detroit they also have a lot of great polish spots to eat. I didnt realize that is was that popular in Chicago..... But Chicago and Detroit have alot of similarities! Great Video guys!!! P.s. Maria I eat bread with my hands too .. LOL!
That restaurant looked so neat! The food looked delicious too! "Real man's meatballs" love that name! 😄 And I love perogies!! "I want to try your neatballs" 😄😂🤣 The dessert would have been good all by itself, so yummy looking!
Gazda is a polish mountain farm owner and that restaurant is located in a typical wooden polish mountain house. Waiters are wearing traditional polish highlander clothes from Tatra Mountain.
Real Man's Meatballs mmmm good stuff.. Maria's food looks excellent too.. didn't catch the name hehe.. but man, looks so good!! The apple pie is my dessert too.. need some of that 🙂 what a nice restaurant.. definitely some good Polish food there, like the ambience and how the place was set up. Nice car confessional too guys, way to end that video!
Ohhhhh mannnn...another FUN outing with you two!! Beer looks YUMMY, and the food too! I’m a classy guy😂 Bet you had to walk a few miles afterward, hmmm?! REAL MAN MEATBALLS😳😬yikes! Love your critiques...just talk to us, no need for fancy words! If I went to Chicago I would have plenty of places to try, and WHEN IS YOUR TV SHOW HAPPNIN??! When you do closeups it makes my mouth water🤤Please never change! You two are the REAL DEAL!! 👍👏🙋♀️Lisa
We totally went hiking after this meal. And took a nice nap too! Haha We try to keep it real. Haha Honest reviews. We don't know how to stay serious. LOL So glad you enjoyed this video! Have a great week guys.
Ooooo that place has a cool ski lodge vibe the food looked very hearty too with all those meat balls n potato schnitzel/ pancake. Damn that apple pie breaking apart was 🤤 yum 👍
So generous on the mushroom sauce! I wish they give me that generous sauce ony my steak usually they are pretty snob about the sauce here in sydney haha
I had no idea there was a large population of Polish folks in Chicago. I have been to Poland about 20 years ago and unfortunately, I was too young to explore anywhere on my own. I pretty much ate all the chain restaurants, so this is all new to me haha. It seems like their cuisine is quite close to German food even the way the glassware they serve you the beer. I have tried the Polish potato dumpling (pirogees?) before here in Seattle though. I wanna try your meatballs too Nabol! hahahah so funny. Apple pie at a Polish restaurant?? So unexpected but it looks amazing (and massive!) 97 degrees..... eeek haha. I thought it's hot here in Seattle at around 85 lol. I would say, the prices are pretty ridiculously cheap. Great episode with a nice recap at the end!
LOL You made me laugh so hard. Meatballs for all! So cool that you went to Poland. It's on our bucket list for sure. The prices were right for the amount of food. We even had leftovers! Glad you enjoyed it.
When I saw the name of the place, I started to laugh because I could understand it and knew is not English, so was surpises where did you go - cant believe it is in Chicago! But, then, I ended up in Slovakian restaurant in San Francisco, so shouldnt be so shocked! Haha, Nabol, I knew it wasnt butter, made ma lugh when you discovered what it was - yeah, gotta go easy with the all the mixed fats :) All the food looked delicious, very similar to ours :) And not a bad price $40! Real man meatballs haha! Btw, I was off for a while from all Social Media etc, and just noticed you guys have a new intro, love it!!! 😍😍
Hi Karina!!! So glad you're back! We have to catch up with your videos as well. It's been a couple of crazy weeks for us too. So glad that we made you laugh a little with this video. This restaurant was so good! We'll be back for sure. So many more dishes to try! Glad to here that you liked the intro too! :-) Have a great week!
This cabbage (we call those little vegetable dishes surówka) is fresh. Just cut it, add oil and maybe cut carrot and salt and pepper. The spread is called smalec, it's a pork fat with pork meat. It can be made with onions or apples with a little bit of marjoram. I recommend polish soups, we have a huge variety of them. Oh and this apple pie is not standard. We call it szarlotka and I think that apples should be shredded, cooked with sugar and cynamon and then baked between two sheets of shortbread. But it might be a highlander way, because this restaurant is in góralski, highlander style. Górale, highlanders are people who live in a south region of Poland, near Tatra moutains.
@@KimchiAndBeansVideos I recommend rosół (chicken and beef stock with vegetables and homemade pasta), sour cucumber soup (nice and sour), dock soup with boiled egg, żurek (made with fermented flour, with marjoram, white sausage and garlick), wild mushroom soup with cream...I've made myself hungry, but I have some tomato soup made with tomatoes from my garden. Yes, we love soups :)
The butter was actually lard 😉 Polish is a great cuisine, especially if you're hungry and love comfort food. My wife & I used to eat at Helen's next door before we moved from Chicago. I like your video. ✌️
Plane spotting!!! We’d love to do that, considered ourselves aviation enthusiasts hahah We once stayed in an airport hotel with airport view so we can do plane spotting, wanted to make video but didn’t make to the cut as not enough footage. Beginner’s fail 😅
Nothing like a Chilled Beer on a hot day. Yep 👍🏽 patio is where I would sit. 😂 Real mans meat balls, I could be naughty in saying something, but I will behave. The food looks awesome and sounds delicious 😋 it’s always the fatty things that taste good 😂 Apple pie sounds awesome. Have a great week Nabol and Maria. Until your next adventure, Hasta Manana. ♥️😍🤗👍🏽😘

That food looked great, and the place looked warm and interesting. I love Eastern European food.
Poland is central Europe, check the map.
X) I knew that I find my fellow Pole correcting east europe to central europe. I agree, it's central.
The first bar, nice atmosphere! That wood color blends nicely with beers! Hoho!

Yes, we love soups :)
Beautiful...
👍👍
Excellent...
That’s a good value for all that food and the beers
Yes, not bad at all. We even took leftovers home!
The food is delicious get your next videos
The butter was actually lard 😉 Polish is a great cuisine, especially if you're hungry and love comfort food. My wife & I used to eat at Helen's next door before we moved from Chicago. I like your video. ✌️
Yes! It was good!! We ended up asking our waiter. We'll need to check out Helen's :-)
Hmmmm mouth watering here. Looks so delicious meat balls. So creamy hmm.
Their mushroom sauce is awesome but my favorite has got to be the potato pancakes, yummmm! 😆 xoxoNadia💋
Those potato pancakes were very good for sure :-) Thank you for stopping by!
Oh guys...that meat and the gravy....hmmm Europe...🤤🤤
So good!!!
Everything look very delicious especially de bread 🥖
Haha Yes, that bread was delicious too!
Plane spotting!!! We’d love to do that, considered ourselves aviation enthusiasts hahah
We once stayed in an airport hotel with airport view so we can do plane spotting, wanted to make video but didn’t make to the cut as not enough footage. Beginner’s fail 😅
Hahaha That's a great idea!
Hahaha We'll need to share a beer with you guys someday. You two are a ton of fun!
Maria and Nabol - Food & Travel Videos well you never know where we may meet. If you come to Melbourne or we come to Chicago 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🇦🇺🤗😘that would be awesome 👏
