They were planning a reboot, but it got cancelled last year 😔
@@Mrstobastoba it wouldn’t have been the same without John Witherspoon & when the show runners of the reboot had a chance to replace him with his son J.D. (who’s also an working actor & does a straight up similar impression of his dad) they ended up giving Grandad’s voice role to someone else. At least the show will live in our hearts
@@Broseph359 I ain't disagreeing with you, it's better off this way. Ain't Boondocks without Regina King and John Witherspoon. And yeah, at least we have the original 3 seasons. Even the mid season 4 is better than a lot of animations with the same run.

Reading the comments am I the only one that remembers this show originally starting out as Comic Strip. I actually own a copy of one of Aaron McGruder’s Boondocks Comic strip collections Public Enemy #2 it’s hilarious 😂. The Comic Strip started in 1996 and ended when the series was green lit back around 2006. I loved it as it was syndicated in the Washington Post.
