This is a Miyajima Island travel guide taken in November 2022. The main focus of this visit is the autumn foliage and the summit of Mt. Misen. November is the most beautiful time of the year for autumn leaves on Miyajima Island. I was captivated by the beauty of the red and yellow trees. We took the ropeway up to the halfway point and then went to the summit of Mt. Misen. The view of the Seto Inland Sea and islands from the summit is spectacular. We then enjoyed Itsukushima Shrine, the O-torii Gate, deer, and the illumination of Miyajima Island at night, and had plenty of okonomiyaki and liquor on the way back.
We have included a summary at the end of the video with transportation and meal costs clearly indicated for each, so we would be happy if you could use it as a guide for your actual trip. The video was shot in mid-November 2022, when the construction of the O-torii of Itsukushima Shrine will be finished in December, so this is the last time the construction work was done. ２ヶ月連続の宮島訪問です。2022年11月撮影。今回のメインは秋の紅葉と弥山山頂です。11月の宮島は紅葉が最も綺麗な時期です。赤や黄色の木々の美しさに心を奪われました。弥山は、ロープウェーで途中まで上がり、その後山頂を目指しました。山頂からの瀬戸内海と島々の眺めは絶景です。その後、厳島神社・大鳥居、鹿、夜の宮島のライトアップも楽しんで、帰りはたっぷりお好み焼きとお酒を頂きました。
交通費やご飯代もそれぞれ明記して動画の最後にまとめていますので、実際の旅行のガイドに使ってもらえたら嬉しいです。撮影は2022年11月中旬で、厳島神社の大鳥居の工事が12月に終わるので、工事の最後の頃の様子です。10月中旬に訪れた前回の動画も概要欄にリンクを貼っておきますので、合わせてお楽しみください。

This was a fantastic video.....amazing. I liked how you provided a lot of information so people know what to expect, while also making it very, very interesting and good for the soul. I'm going to Japan for the first time, so your video was wonderful. I had a few questions, so I'm hoping your can help out a bit. You suggested checking out the "Tide Schedule" so you'd know when was High Tide & Low Tide; where do you go to find this information? It looked like a more amazing view of Itsukushima and Hokoku Shrines, so do you know how late these are open till? When you came back down from Mt Misen, you grabbed some snacks (ice cream & sweet potato), so I was wondering if this was back at the Omotesando Shopping Arcade, of where you went? I really liked your idea about going up Mt Misen early in the morning and returning in the early afternoon...avoid the crowds hopefully. Last question...when you went for dinner, how late was Hanako open till (I heard that a lot of restaurants close early) and when you got the Hiroshima Lemon Sour, was this the drink?...can you say what it tasted like? So thanks again....this video was so helpful and so interesting. Best video that I've seen after watching 3 weeks of videos on Japan.
Thanks for the comment! Depends on the season you are coming, but I would recommend going up to Mt. Misen in the morning because it is very crowded in the spring and fall.

Itsukushima Shrine is open from 6:30am to 5pm, or until 5:30 or 6pm depending on the season. Hokoku Shrine Shrine is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

This okonomiyaki is also popular in Miyajima. This is a small store, so you might have to wait in line. They are open until 8:30 p.m. at night.

自分も初めて御山神社へ行った時は、動画で通ってた霊火堂から一番近い御山神社の看板から行きました。神社に着いたら別の道がある事に気づいて、それ以降は少し遠回りした道から行ってます。御山神社はいいところですよね。
