I've been watching you for years. It is not luck - it's your hard work that has gotten you where you are. Congrats to you!
Louis Rossman was given the opportunity to have his own reality show on a major cable network. Like you, he was so excited, but then he read the very fine print in the contract. He was basically signing over the Rossman brand. Reality shows pay very little, and he realized he was giving up complete control of his brand, his YT channel, his content, etc for little in return. They were trying to give him a song and dance about how great an opportunity this was for him, but wouldnt budge when he tried to negotiate on these things.
He realized he would make more on his own and keep full ownership of everything he worked for over the years. I would suggest to watch that video before making any decisions just so you know what to look out for. He realized all he would get was mainstream affirmation, and it was a bad business decision, because fame wasn't him number one goal in life.

I have been following you for a bit now. When I discovered minimalism your videos started showing up on my RUclips feed, and I was immediately impressed. Your ideas and suggestions widened my view on a lot of things. The idea of creating your own sources of income independent from a typical day job was something I never even considered. TBH, I haven't had much luck, but one thing I want to say that sets your videos apart from many creators is the encouragement that you offer. You don’t talk at your audience, you talk to us. It's like spending time with a good friend. Thank you for the continued encouragement and for making me believe in what is potentially possible for me!

Im starting up a youtube channel soon once I build up the courage but I am following your 5HYT and its made it soooo much easier to think of video ideas and figure out what I wanna do and I feel like I am gonna do good overtime if i get the courage to do it. im super camera shy so this is way out of my comfort zone.
A lot of building camera confidence is just hours in front of the camera lol If you look it back at my early videos they are pretty horrible

You're right - you never know who is watching or looking at something you create. Some throwaway idea you thought wouldn't ever be successful might be the very video you upload that someone sees who contacts you about a great opportunity. And having a positive mindset even when the opportunities don't always work out, like traditional "success" or "getting the bag" might look like, is huge. It's okay that not everything happened. There are always more opportunities ahead.
