tbh i always wished that triple trouble had the souls look accurate to the real game, the game designs are just creepier overall.
I also partially think the sprites might look good with pixelated lines, akin to senpai. I don't know. The best part about this for me is instead of the "Best friend gets the least brutal death, Frenemy gets slightly more gruesome death, and rival gets brutalized" trope, it's "Rival gets the least brutal death, Frenemy is the middle ground, looks dead rather than soulless, which is good, and best friend has the worst death so far" It makes their deaths far more gut wrenching

Here’s my idea thus far: In my storyverse, he’s a zombified version of Tails. Alan has a penchant for snapping people’s necks on account of him being killed in the same way by EXE’s Black Sun Form. Sunky and Sanic have noted fear of Alan because he showed up unannounced when they first met. Fleetway Super Sonic was having a power surge when the meeting happened.
