    What are some clothes you're not buying anymore in 2025?

    • @mirandaosmelak480

      No more anything that isn't "hell yes" for me! I totally learn to do it and I noticed already that if my first reaction is anything short of love it's just a no.

      wide leg pants - yes they look nice while you stand, but they flop around so comically while walking 😅 speaking of pants - can you please share a link to the Zara jeans?

      @Ineviyath haha totally know what you mean! These are the blue ones but if you type "Zara paperbag jeans" you'll be able to find different colours (and if you have any second hand platforms, there's usually lots of pairs there)

    I try not to buy items that are 90% right. Also there is a saying that it isn’t yours until you cut off the tags. Anything I buy I will take it to the closet and see how it looks with everything for color and style. I try on some possible outfits then I hang it in my room where I can see it each day for several days to think about it. If it doesn’t pass these tests I take it back!💕

      I uploaded all my clothes in an app (indyx) and now when I want to buy something on eBay etc I take a screenshot and upload it to my closet to see how well it pairs with my existing wardrobe. Sometimes I see that, even though I like it, I have other things that pair just as well

    I love that you've been playing around with the black blouse with the white plaid lines. It's a piece that's totally in my wheelhouse (androgynous, a little bit grunge maybe, relaxed) but the way you wear it makes it feel feminine and totally your style. It inspires me to play around with some of the misses in my wardrobe and see if I can turn them into hits.

      Thank you so much for this comment, and honestly since doing the 'Styling my least worn' video, I've really been enjoying this blouse - I knew I bought it for a reason, in the sense that there was something I liked about it, but I guess I was just not sure how to style it to feel like me. Glad it's inspired you to look into your 'misses' and style them to feel like hits!

    My color level of saturation also changes with the seasons! And every winter I want to reach for high contrast colors but they just feel so out of place -- which makes me resent the cold even more 😆😆😆
    Every summer I get excited to be reunited with my extremely bright outfits ❤

      @MiliVelikova  19 минут назад

      Haha totally feel you on this, I think it's such an interesting thing, because when I lived in Singapore and it was eternal summer, I didn't have a craving for those darker colours - but now that I live in a place with a real autumn / winter, I definitely feel my preferences changing!

    I sometimes try reshaping inspiration pics to see what an outfit would look like on my body type. I look much more like you than Ellena but still enjoy the way she gives advice & picking out the colours she uses individually that would suit me then following her ideas on how to combine them. I try really hard not to buy clothes that I don’t love but struggle when I’m given things I don’t 100% love as gifts or when I shop with my mum (valuable girly bonding time but IMMENSE peer pressure to buy). I’m also a fiend for buying multiples of very similar clothes in different colours because I consider them basics, although I do often vary other little details like necklines/fit/pattern subconsciously too. I stick to dark/muted colours (still 80+% black) for bottoms with the exception of 1 wool skirt which has no business being as much of a staple as it is in the cold seasons (boxy, horizontal pattern, bright multicoloured its practical and cheers me up). I just watched a video from another RUclipsr who said she had a problem of always collecting scarves but I have at least 3x as many :-s

      That's a great way of looking at inspiration, and it's something I'm still learning to do (as I'm often a lot more 'intuitive' when it comes to putting outfits together, being able to get inspired by others without copying the look or adjusting it for me.. it takes time to learn!)
      Oh that's so cool that you have a skirt that cheers you up - sometimes things just work, and we don't even need to know why. They just do!

    I feel I have learned quite a few things that I think they will help me in making better decisions. Thank you for helping to make this reflections!

    You made many excellent points. I think I'm going to rewatch the video and write down each point for future reference when I go shopping. Two points I need to keep in mind are not to buy anything just because it's on sale and, second, if something isn't comfortable from the get-go, I won't wear it. For example, when it comes to shoes, I never "break them in"; I "break in my feet (and sometimes my back)."

    • @MiliVelikova
      @MiliVelikova  15 минут назад

      haha Dawn, that's a good way to put it! I am the same - my feet are quite sensitive, so they break way before the shoes break in! Thank you for watching, glad it was helpful :)

    I don't think comparison is healthy in any way, but I cannot help but say that I actually find you more beautiful than Ellena. Which only speaks about my easthetic preferences of course. I think your face is just georgeous, your figure beautifully proportioned and I like that you go with a natural and harmonious look in terms of your hair colour and make up. I also really like watching your videos because I am size 12/14 myself currently and seeing you looks awesome reminds me that I probably look awesome too. Anyway, Ellena is still a beautiful lady, but I am trying to say that there is no reason for you to look up to her beauty.

      Awww Miranda ❤️ Thank you so much, this is such a kind comment and I think I needed to hear it! I don't see many style RUclipsrs / bloggers that look like me, which is also why I'm sometimes unconsciously comparing myself to other people, which I know isn't healthy!!

    If you have clothes that you like because of fabric and cut but not color, DYE THEM. There are dyes you can put into washing machine, quick and easy. Case in point - in spring/summer I literally live in black button downs. I decided to buy white ones because they are classic and versatile, right? Wrong! Too see through (required a cami, who wears camis in sweltering heat???), too formal even in linen and muslin, and white is just not my color and makes me uncomfortable. So I dyed them navy and it was an instant excitement to be able to wear them when sweater season is over.

    • @MiliVelikova
      @MiliVelikova  17 минут назад

      That's actually a really good tip! I did the dying for a white jumper that had gone streaky in the washing (due to some dark clothes), and I dyed it black - it worked really well! I think I'll look into this top!

      I have just curated my 69 pieces again with these tips! For example: a small shoulder bag is so unpractical in my daily life that I just don’t want to wear them and get stressed over not being able to fit all the important stuff there!
      And I especially love what you said about replacements and after that how you love a certain piece - this thought is so true in romantic life too 😂😂😅

    • @MiliVelikova
      @MiliVelikova  16 минут назад

      hahah totally true about the romantic life Johanna! Love that you put it in practice, and that you found some pieces that weren't a good match for your life - I loooooove small bags, but there's small, and then there's 'too small' - and I had to accept that I'm just not the kind of person that can go with a tiny bag!
