This just dropped in Virginia (Nov 19th). The nose is green oak. You are spot on with the Honeycomb note on the palate, but the finish is artificial sweetener bitter.
I got a bottle of this. It’s savory. Smokey. If you like those, you’ll enjoy it. I blinded my wife, after nosing, thought it was a peeted single malt.. not on the pallet though.
Found a bottle for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago. $189.95. Good whiskey, but the proof is too low and that price is too high. Worth it at about 90 bucks. 🥃

Nice review. We got this on the 18th and cracked it yesterday on camera. We loved it! Toasted Sour Mash a few years ago. I paid $120 after tax.
Very nice! Hope to find one of these in TN, one day!
Michters did the toasted barrel strength rye last year and the toasted sour mash in 22
I opened this one over the weekend and the toasted aspect was very subtle initially but I did notice after 3-4 sips it became more prevalent

They did a Toasted Barrel Strength Rye last year. Assume that was what Dave was thinking of.
They actually did a toasted barrel strength. Don't let others gaslight you. Stick to what you feel is correct.

MSRP like 100.
@@bvlad5215. Still a bit high, although I’ll never see another bottle of this stuff. All the $189 bottles were gone in no time.
At msrp or 10% over nice. Secondary of 150+ no thanks.
So pass lol
You are on point. I paid $110 and it’s good, but totally not worth it. Elijah Craig Toasted at $75 is better.
If you're paying 75 for EC Toasted you're getting ripped off... it's 50$ almost everywhere in KY. 60$ maybe some places at most.
You are correct. It was marked down from $60 to 52 at Kroger today. First time I’ve seen on shelf there in some time.
@@tomhoward1467 It's starting to become more available and kind of sitting around. I saw it in droves when I went.
