- So,in this video,we are just giving a basic machine a run up.
At a certain RPM,we get a loud whistle from the magneto.
Not sure if it's anything special,or just a resonant vibration.
Anyway,at full speed,we have 820 odd volts AC,and a frequency of just over 1KHz.

Looking forward to the next test. It will be interesting to see the results with and without flywheel also. Nice setup!

Likely the whistle is from the teeth of the flywheel.
You sure it's not the noise the SmartDrive makes? I remember clearly hearing my SmartDrive whistling during spin cycles.

my set up is simular to yours except that I use a controller to slowly bring the speed up and I use a cap dump system to charge the bateries.
If you connect it to a battery via 3 phase rect, it'll be outputting battery voltage, no capacitors required either.

You might consider using a jackshaft to couple the motors and possibly make use of mechanical advantage with gear ratios , just a thought
both should be in the same voltage? or the motor at the left must be lower?
Nice to see more build videos.👍maybe its just the camera angle but the shaft doesn't look horizontal to the 3phase motor. Maybe mounting it in the vertical position might relieve some strain on components and reduce any misalignments and vibrations. Also the noise maybe amplified by the box section steel. Try stuffing some old rags in all the open ends to see if that helps with noise.

May I ask what kind of motor that is you are using as a generator? Is that a wash machine motor?

Did you see George Chaniotakis new video? He has a spark gap (reed switch) two inverse coils (buking coils), a split positive and a permanent magnet to get the spark gap going at low voltage. I love his setup. Plasma+magnet+inverse coils. Sounds very legit. What do you think?

Hi, very difficult to have the good Way. First, All your coil in phase, the output IS not important. Important IS the circuit out for control the coils...IS a SG but in reverse mode. Now, The pulses at the output coil charge a capacitor. If you have oscilloscope you see résonnance with your capacitor at 5/6 MHz. IS exactly the frequency résonnance of ions batterie, its RQN. Disconnect the input, discharge the capacitor, reconnect the input... its not a standard model, Best regards

Yes,much more. The meter is showing the RMS value,so when rectified,it will be close to the same. 24 volts in,800+ volts out--but that is far to much. I am rewiring the stator ATM,so as to get a lower voltage,but higher current.
I have a theory on the whistle - when the primary source is driving the flywheel at a point of rotation the mass of the flywheel inertia is offset into a 'counter-space' action this represents 'stored' 'energy' if you like
when you disconnect the rotation source the whistle is 'energy' leaving the counter-space from the offset from the flywheel.
the sound specifically may be plasma arcs but you would have to open the case of the primary rotator to see.
it also could be related to the bearing relationship with the device as you know from your other video's they can hold a 'magnetic' charge.
but i think the 'source' is the flywheel.
the other more 'average' theory is that the flywheel is not perfectly balanced ha ha ha. - but that doesn't mean my original theory is incorrect.
did it whistle when you didn't have it connected? i.e when you just ran it stand alone.
i'm going to do something like this with my father soon for fun, (and sanity) we might make some modifications - but thanks for sharing it's great to see that in action.
Congratulations Tinman!! That must have been a very concentrated five hours. Just thinking, since you have a fairly heavy flywheel and you have enough space on the shaft, and also since you are looking to create more current; would a rotating copper flywheel with a permanent magnet fixed in between, ( essentially a faraday homopolar generator) be able to add a bit of current while every thing else remains the same

Find where they have drilled holes to balance the flywheel. Stick chewing gum in the hole. Whistle should go away.
