This is one of the hardest/most difficult pieces to play on the piano & he pulled it off~Perfectly! I feel honored & privileged to have gotten "front row seat" to this free concert from this obvious master virtuoso. Priceless!
Wow!! What a privilege to have seen and heard this...The fact that boy that young can sit and play this from memory is nothing but absolutely astounding. I realize that those passing by have trains to catch but how numb and cut off do you have to be to just walk by and not stop to witness this incredible moment.
How can you NOT stop and celebrate this gifted young man; (probably a adult by now) performing one of the most challenging piano pieces in public, for no money? Applause, applause! 👏🏾❤️👏🏾🎶❤️🎶😊

Im sure you would have used multiple directional microphones and portable sound isolation equipment, such as baffles or gobos, to capture the piano's sound in the station to cut out any ambient environmental sounds…. If you listen (really listen) this raw, authentic performance captured for all time of this young genius conveys an energy and emotional intensity that feels more genuine and relatable than any polished precision of a studio performance.

To me, this video is not about a "kid playing piano." It's about a serious performer, in a "boot camp" obstacle course. I am in awe about the adult(s) behind him, as well as the extraordinary accomplishments of Georg, himself. This video is so inspirational, an MANY levels! Sad how people walk by even without looking at a kid playing a masterpiece, without even recognizing the potential. They literally got a world-class performance, for free, while other would queue and pay to hear. I'm very happy and glad for you that you made it.
If I had been a traveler that day I would probably have missed my train. I could not possibly have walked past such an absolutely splendid performance of one of my favorite piano sonatas.
I am 72 and started playing instruments at ten years of age and still record tracks on Cubase, playing all instrument and mixing it down. I like to think that I am a fair judge of talent and in Classical music Beethoven (symphonies) has always been my favourite. This 11 year old boy has a feel for the music which takes most of us many years to achieve, let alone the skill to express it. In my opinion compulsorily listening and a must have. Anything this boy plays has to be first class.

This child’s first language is music. If you look at his blood under a microscope you’ll see music notes floating around in it. 7 years later, I wonder what he’s doing today. Certainly still playing beautiful music, I hope. This is amazing! ❤️
This is the definition of wailing on a piano. You see a good number of kids in his age group who play like the best adults out there but you don't see many who can play with this level of comfort, confidence, fluidity and maturity. Really nice to see.

I am not an expert, just enjoy listening to classical music, but I do know when I am captivated by a performance. This is definitely one of those times. I have been listening to various recordings of this particular movement a lot recently (studio recordings on concert grand pianos), yet this to me genuinely communicates freshly the essence of the wonderful music by Beethoven - more than many. Not only the music u play, but the way u play it as well, your extreme concentration, the way u move your fingers, u lean backwards or u tilt ur head, your facial expression while playing. Everything with the music make you so inspiring to me. Keep it up, young man. Best wishes for u! I'm now 25 years old and wish I had a chance to play piano since I was a kid, but my family can't afford a piano and the fee for that, so every time seeing someone, especially young people like you playing it makes me feel so happy and inspired. Watching this in 2019. It's wonderful seeing people just watching this kid play this masterpiece without everyone taking out their phones to record and just enjoying the moment.
...this is so beautiful. I love this piece very much and not only is Beethoven so notoriously difficult to play but he is so full of emotional complexity. teachers have told me even though they can play him they would never play for people because they are not sure of their interpretation. yet he is totally comfortable with his even though he is so young and i prefer this recording to several of the accepted ones. this is a truly amazing achievement.

Such complex emotional inner world at 11 is beyond any comprehension, expressed through the piano so expertly, touching all...Beethoven himself would rise from his grave to tilt his ears toward this young man’s artistry. Beethoven's music is my passion and has been for most of my life. His compositions are very hard to grasp emotionally and musically in performance. Your performance here was outstanding and I can't imagine how this Sonata would sound now at your current age in a concert hall. I felt bad for you because your performance was worth paying for, but it's wonderful that you make your audience when you're young because it's one of the biggest challenges
George My grandmother was a concert pianist, her favorite composer was Beethoven (I can see why) this Sonata was one of her favorites I see me doing my homework under her Steinway while she played Gracias por los recuerdos .....

I am not an expert, just enjoy listening to classical music, but I do know when I am captivated by a performance. This is definitely one of those times. I have been listening to various recordings of this particular movement a lot recently (studio recordings on concert grand pianos), yet this to me genuinely communicates freshly the essence of the wonderful music by Beethoven - more than many. I'm now 25 years old and wish I had a chance to play piano since I was a kid, but my family can't afford a piano and the fee for that, so every time seeing someone, especially young people like you playing it makes me feel so happy and inspired. ...this is so beautiful. I love this piece very much and not only is Beethoven so notoriously difficult to play but he is so full of emotional complexity. teachers have told me even though they can play him they would never play for people because they are not sure of their interpretation. yet he is totally comfortable with his even though he is so young and i prefer this recording to several of the accepted ones. this is a truly amazing achievement.

Beethoven's music is my passion and has been for most of my life. His compositions are very hard to grasp emotionally and musically in performance. Your performance here was outstanding and I can't imagine how this Sonata would sound now at your current age in a concert hall. I felt bad for you because your performance was worth paying for, but it's wonderful that you make your audience when you're young because it's one of the biggest challenges
