- In one of the recent episodes of the Braving The Elements podcast, one of the original creators of Avatar, Bryan Konietzko revealed some new interesting information about a project he's working on at Avatar Studios. It gives an interesting look into what could be happening in the future and what it means for the Avatar franchise as a whole. Enjoy!🍵
Avatar: The Last Airbender is a show set in a world where human civilization consists of four nations, named after the four classical elements: the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. The series is centered around the journey of twelve-year-old Aang, the current Avatar and last survivor of his nation, the Air Nomads, along with his friends Katara, Sokka, and later Toph, as they strive to end the Fire Nation's war against the other nations of the world.

Off topic, but I'm curious if they'll merge the Haru storyline with the Omashu storyline in Book 2 of the live action Netflix show? They could even squeeze in General Fong for a supporting role of that storyline, too, while deviating it some if they have to. Haru can be a prisoner with his dad, while the Fire Nation has hold on Omashu, and General Fong can lead a resistance movement to liberate the city. Maybe Fong could still force Aang into the Avatar State like the original for whatever circumstance. What do you think?
I mean Fong is a storyline in Book 2 so he might show up although Haru at this point is a lesser ideal thing to happen if he didn't already show up in Season 1
@uncleirohsteashop I just think Haru could be done better here in the Netflix, unlike how The Last Airbender butchered his story and made him a girl. They couldn't even imprison Earthbenders away from the Earth either. I would hope the Netflix show would have better logic than that.

It is not going to cool down when that adult Aang movie comes out 2026 I am hoping in the future they make the comics into a series and have everything the same in the comics

How did you get 1920s ? The shaw brothers mase films during the 1960s and 70s
I was referring to when they started their studio I know went on to make many films through the next several decades going into the 60's and 70's
It dunt surprise me they don't like ai. Can you imagine if anything by Miyazaki was ai 😱 it would be a travesty. I can't wait for the film to come out and to see if my theory of iroh being a major influence to aang as an adult is correct. Everything about the creators of avatar is old school and I love that about them. If you think about the hero's journey theres only 1 protagonist and one bad guy. Yes aang was the main protagonist but every single main character had amazing growth by the end which makes them also protagonists in my eyes and that's what makes me want to watch it again and again. Except for appas lost days that makes me too sad. Aang got through everything because of his friends, who had their own personalities and issues and they were all kids!? Yet they were masters. Yes I'm including sokka even tho he wasn't a bender he's a master in strategizing and all of them always looked to him for planning. I don't think ai could ever do anything as well thought out and written as this series. Theres only 2 other shows that have a redemption arc like zuko and I've seen so many shows.

It was never cooling.
Cooled down is certainly one way to look at it. My channel has certainly taken a hit from the popularity of its name being in the cultural zeitgeist. For RUclips it's all about what trends. For small creators like myself that hurts us the most.
