NearStream VM33 Wireless Livestreaming Camera Review - Is there a New Streaming King?

NearStream reached out to us and asked if we would like to review the NearStream VM33 Wireless Livesteaming camera and we responded, “Heck Yes!” Bruce has been livestreaming sports events, primarily volleyball for years now. He has used multiple solutions over the years and had settled on the Mevo Start as his device of choice. But that device is now over 4 years old and Bruce thought what a wonderful opportunity to test out a real challenger!
From a specifications perspective, the NearStream VM33 really brings the goods! The device sports a 2K censor, 8-MEMS Array integrated microphone, USB-C audio/power input, 3.5mm audio input jack, an industry exclusive 10x Optical and 4x Digital Zoom lens with 80mm horizontal FOV, AI-powered noise cancelation and Automatic Gain Control (AGC), and a 6400mAh rated battery for up to 8 hours of run time. This device can connect to the internet via wireless, cellular service, or even wired Ethernet with an adapter sold separately. You can even connect the camera to your computer via the USB-C cable and run it as a webcam!
** Please Note: For the FOV, I have found the Mevo Start listed with a 76-degree and 83.6-degree FOV. I believe the wider number to be the more accurate based on the framing differences between the VM33 and Mevo Start. I could cover more volleyball court with the Start at the same distance as the VM33. I stated the 76-degree number in the video, but that wouldn't result in a wider FOV than the VM33's 80-degree. Sorry for any confusion.
The VM33 can stream to your favorite services such as Facebook, RUclips, Twitch, X (formerly Twitter), or about any other service using the RTMP connection option.
