It seems like an epic chase at the start, which it is, but later on when the Jumping Sumo was broken it was kinda sad! He sacrificed himself for a friend who later on almost got himself broken trying to fix a bear just to make children happy! Cute story if you think about it... :)
Browney? More like brown-nosing and self advertsing... *prepares for oblivious people to reply and then proceed to get multiple likes from other oblivious people on their hastily-written, angry comment in response to myself because none of them see through the bullshit*
This was fantastic, not only because of the cool explosions and general awesome stuff - but also because of the underlying story of a toy forgotten by its human friend and the other toys banding together to fill that emotional gap, or something like that.
Those cuts to the past and present (0:28 , 0:41) and amazing practical effects get me every time. This is definitely one of my favorites from you guys. Keep up the great work!
Not seeing any comments applauding the musical stylings. Corridor Digital, you guys blow me away with your action, direction and special effects as always, but Carpenter Brut amazes me as well with this track. Seriously everyone, check out the song Le Perv from Carpenter Brut, really good artist.
TheErnstkare I got introduced to Savant by Birgirpall, but i always liked the song CD used in the Kittens on the Beat video, so i was psyched when i learned it was Savant too.
Y'all's stuff has gotten so much better over the past year. Not to say it wasn't already fantastic, but the quality of the videos and the effects have blown my mind recently. I feel the obligation to show all of my friends each video you put out because they are so good! Keep it up guys!
this actualy has a lot of meaning. someone using resources they own, but way too many for themelves alone, while other "outcasts" and bandits who have almost nothing left are desperate to fight for it to survive. you get the idea right?
"Thank you! You saved me! You're the best! Yaaay!" Meanwhile the RC car contemplates the loss of his three closest friends so that this bear may live once again.
Teddy: "Thank u! U saved me! Ur the best! YAYYYYY!" Car: "Not exactly an appropriate gratitude for getting 3 of my friends killed just to get u some new batteries, don't u think?"
The question is, who were the bad guys - the "battery delivery" crew, or the "we have to survive" guys. After all, the amount of batteries on the trailer would be enough to save everyone. Save one person you care dearly about, or save many, many more? Maybe there is no good and evil here - the need of both sides is equal, and they're all fighting for a different cause. I guess we'll never know, as the full story will never be released. Oh well... :P
wilderun04 A man dying from starvation wouldn't be afraid to break into a shop to steal. Don't hate the player, hate the game, as they say - if you're left with no choice, it's do or die. Survival is a natural instinct that will cloud your mind, obstructing the values you've held dear for your entire lifetime. The whole video could be just a complex metaphor, showing us two sides of the conflict - a fight to save a single person that many hold dear, and a fight to save many lives nobody else really cares for, except for themselves. It's a choice similar to those given in the so called "trolley problem", except each of the sides represents a different choice... It's pretty interesting, actually. No matter what the outcome will be, it will still be considered a tragedy. When it comes to war, there are no winners. I may be an engineer, I may see the cogs in the machine called life, but at no point will I fully understand it's point or effects... Damn, I knew I should take a quantum physics course at my university... I could become god! I could be immortal! MWAHAHAHA-oh wait, no, that wouldn't help even a bit. Damn... Oh well, I'll leave my plans to take over the world for another day... D:
There were no innocents. The ambushers are operatives running a battery cartel that bought off officials and crushed competition with violence until they were the only game in town. The stuffed bear is a cult leader who brainwashes toys to sacrifice themselves to feed his acid addiction (notice the corrosion on the old batteries). The followers themselves only joined because they were drawn to unrealistic promises of effortless prosperity. The kid in the photo is a spoiled brat and the bear's supplier. The true victims are those who wasted thirty seconds of their lives reading the idiotic hypothesis I just wrote. . . but no one will weep for you. Suckers.
IF it really is possible to will things Into existence (IE Tulpas) then that means ever since I watched toy story my toys came to life and had feelings when I'm not around; and that is why till this day I cannot throw out old toys; because it's highly possible My childhood belief has struck actual life into them and they will feel sad or resent me for discarding them as trash when they mean a lot more to me than that
That's not what an actual tulpa is. That's what the two and a half thousand year old, religious meditative belief is. Actual tulpae are forced, and controlled hallucinations. There's nothing wrong with that, but they aren't real independant of yourself, and they don't exist within a physical object like a teddy bear.
RIP Sumo. He sacrificed all for the sake of his beloved friends... He will be missed... or put back together, her deserves another chance... rehply if u cry eretiem
Hells Maw Didnt they say in the BTV video this was made with as little effect as possible added..? I think those are real explosions, if I understood them correctly
In such a short amount of time, you gave a brilliant display of special effects, a brilliant use of cameras and a storyline which made sense from start to finish. Good feckin job!

oh the nostalgia, anyone else just wish you could relive childhood memories?
Yep

it's like Toy Soldiers meets Mad Max!

Absolutely incredible. It's like taking the imagination of a kid, and bringing it to life!
Hi yungtown 😁

You are right. Each sides fight for what they want or what they want to defend. In the end it's mostly a need.
Or they had their batteries stollen
Maybe they would have shared after having saved the Teddy Bear... but instead they were ambushed in a most cowardly fashion!
