also have some ●lore bits and ■headcanons for these two
■ iris is genderfluid(she/her,he/him) and is pansexual
■ (X) erebus is agender but does prefer (he/him) and is gay
● iris met X(erebus) while he was trying to enter the solar system so instead of meeting neptune she met erebus wandering outside of the solar system and well it was love at first sight for him
● erebus doesn't mind irises company he actually likes it but did take while for him to get used to iris and his weird mutation that he has
●iris may or may not have tried to mutate erebus early on while they met even tho iris was very much in love she did kinda see mutating erebus as some sort of sick love language but at the end she decided against it. because if he mutated erebus he wouldn't survive it. (but iris has thought about it alot)
● their relationship isn't one sided!!! erebus does have feelings for iris and has expressed them. it's just he hasn't had any contact with any other planet for long time now and we'll you can say his social skills have plummeted down a bit and doesn't quite know how handle a relationship let alone a romantical one.
