  • This one it hard to do if you don't do it fast enough.
    This video was made as a demonstration on how to repair things and should not be done with out the proper training and safety equipment. You don't need to be so fast. Hold down the "OK" button and then press the start button and it works just the same. More importantly, you must release the buttons after the 3rd flash or it won't work.

    I echo what a lot of others are saying: First, this worked like a charm. Second, I found this after trying countless other instructions. Key takeaways: must have it set to T2 and quickly press and release the Start/Stop button and then *must immediately* hold down the Start/Stop and "OK" buttons together - the video really brought it all into focus - it also helped that it was the same year and model as my car. Thank you for this!

      Btw, how many quarts of 0W-20 y’all put in? Owners manual says 5.9qt but I think that’s a lot. I put 5 in, run it, let it sit, then check the oil level (in the stupid settings and not with a dipstick because it doesn’t have one) and it says it’s full.

    Thanks G AUTOMOTIVE ! This Worked on 2016 XC70. The other videos I saw on YT had a different dash and the process didn't work. But the XC60 and XC70 are basically the same instrument cluster and I got this done with your quick instructions. Subscribed, Thanks!

    • @TheGAutomotiveAndMore

      Might not be able to reset it with that coming up
      but not sure. This Volvo is hard to do with out any problems.

    • @bradk1295
      @bradk1295 8 месяцев назад

      I know this is an old comment, but in case someone else comes on this issue, I was getting that message too. I tried it a couple more times and I got it to reset.
      Tip from reading the other comments:
      Make sure to release the start button before the “i” light flashes on the dash for the third time. I was holding the start button too long (thinking longer might be better) and it wouldn’t reset.
      Once I released the start button “on time”, it worked fine. It seems you can get the low battery message when doing this, even with an ok battery (my battery is about 4 years old, so who knows.. I may have to eat those words in a few weeks/months)
