  • We asked our friend André Eiermann (Swiss Barista Champion 2017) who was testing the new Aurelia Wave espresso machine by Nuova Simonelli for several weeks to share his thoughts in this video.

      It is not something we would use at home, right, but is exciting to follow the development. I think you will enjoy the ”History of Espresso Machines” video.

      I found Aurelia II for sale on Seattle Coffee Gear. 3 group (shown in video) is $15,165 (USD). The smaller 2 group is about 12k.
      I don’t think that is the same model (this video is about Aurelia Wave?) but I suspect it will have a similar price point. Perhaps it is so new it is not yet for sale online.
      These machines are designed with commercial use in mind. I don’t think Nuova Simonelli expects an individual to purchase such high volume machines for personal use. For reference, a comparable home espresso machine would be the 1 group Nuova Simonelli Appia which goes for about $3,500. Still not cheap, but far more affordable if you want high quality espresso at home.

      Thanks for doing a research! It is entering the market right now so it may not be available online but only through the distributors.

      It won't be cheap machine:) I don't want to give you an estimate because it depends on the size and the setting/features you choose for the machine. It will be definitely a flag ship for Nuova Simonelli company.

    • @EuropeanCoffeeTrip
      @EuropeanCoffeeTrip  6 лет назад

      Well, I think there would be a better analogy as there are other high performing machines with a stunning design. I am not a car expert so I can’t say.

      Yes, we tried Flair also during the World of Coffee 2018 in Amsterdam, and it is a solid machine for home usage.
