I recently found that NOW brand 100 percent Vegetable Glycerin is super helpful! You don’t put it in the eye. You put it on your eye lids around the eyes and brows and lashes. If it gets in the eye it doesn’t burn. It’s the only thing that helps me. Drops make my eyes burn worse no matter the type.
Drops help. I also close my eyes when “watching” tv. I cannot read for periods of time. I also had the plugs put in which helped a little. Is blepharitis worse or caused from dry eye? Thank you for all your lectures!
I am still on ointment and an eye-gel, but after going through all they had to offer, we added ciclosporin. It took several months until I noticed a change but it is the only thing that has helped. It is obviously not great, but it is better than before and I don't need to apply thick ointment every hour during the day + gel anymore (which is very sticky).
I have sjogrens syndrome my eyes are very dry. I use Irkevis, Hylo tears, Hylo night gel and optive plus. I also have eye plugs to saver the tears. The medication helps but it's constant upto 6 times daily routine. 😢
Hello and thank you for another informative video. At the present I'm using systane eye drops but I'm finding that they're starting to burn my eyes alittle bit. Not sure if I should try something else. And if so what would you suggest 🤔. Also what kind of humidifier did you say to use 🤔. Do you have a certain one that helps out more than others. My husband smokes constantly in the house and has no intentions of quitting or going outside. So I need something that is good to Clean the air. We do have a brand new one on our furnace but my husband said that it leaked and disconnected it. I'm sure that the leak was from something else but who am I to argue. So if I can get one for upstairs that is portable I would be happy 😊 Gotta get the air cleaned up so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thx Nancy

I use the preservative free single use eye drops to help with the grittiness and pain of severe dry eyes. A warm wet compress can help a bit too.
Someone just went blind from bacteria in preservative free drops so be careful.

Great product I use called Rain contains no harsh chemicals or redness removers. Little pricy but comes in individual single use eye dropper.

Dogs get an autoimmune dry eye condition. They have an ointment called Optimmune. Could it be used off licence for Sjogren's?
