I've got the Gigboard and the Pedalboard and it was worth the price of admission of the Prime just to get the more realistic looking pedals. Hopefully in the future HR will upgrade the pedals in the Pedalboard and Gigboard to Prime quality.
We'll find out here, got a blue one arriving tomorrow. With my schedule, it will be a week or few before any comments on mine show up. Let you know if we get a buzzy one. If not, it goes into a HELIX and RCF monitors/FOH system. Got a bass in 1965, having some light-weight decent sounding ones help when we get double booked(2 shows in one day) or my 67 year old back is complaining. We fix buzzes on cheap basses as long is they can be made playable and sound good..
Honestly, I feel you have nit-picked this to death. The knobs could have easily been adjusted to clear the pickguard. I have received several instruments in that condition; the fix is easy Since you had the same noise issue in the second bass and it stopped and couldn't be replicated, my suspicion is the problem lies outside the instrument, such as in a cable you were using. Strings on new import basses are cheaply made, and are almost always changed by the buyer, so a broken string should not be a problem. 1/2" of padding in a provided bag is actually quite a bit more than most companies provide. Most are about 5mm (3/16") thick. You said the bass played well, and it sounded good on the video.
@@DoctorMcFarlandStudios OK. So it's your channel, and you can nit pick to your hearts content. As long as your viewers realize this, it's cool. BTW, the video had good production values, and you are very personable. Disagreement aside, keep up the good work.
This was a rare video for me based on the content but I try to keep my reviews in a positive tone if I can help it. I ended up with a Yamaha 5 string bass and its great. I will have a video on that one coming soon.
@@DoctorMcFarlandStudios Yamaha makes some fine basses! They are unfortunately a well kept secret in the bass world. John Patatucci and Nathan East are both users and endorsers, and you can't get much better players than them. I hope you enjoy your new 5 string. 🎼 (Sorry, I couldn't find one in bass clef.)
Anyone wanting to purchase this be aware the ball end of whatever new strings you put on this has to be quite small. Normal ball end strings will not fit.
i am curious about the weight , on amazon its listed as 9 lbs . i am having a hard time thinking it should be much lighter than 9 lbs ? do you know how much the instrument weighs ? thanks !!
I will go live tonight for the monthly live stream. The Prime isn't that much different than the other Headrush products as far as getting excellent tones.
@@DoctorMcFarlandStudios The 6 string guitars have the "Allen Crank" that goes into the bridge with a magnetic catch. The Bass may not have one. It was on the left side looking down on it on the 6 sting guitars.
@@DoctorMcFarlandStudios thank you for the reply. The thing I was a little concerned about was that initially you say both basses buzzed then found the one not to buzz. Did you go back and check the other on a clean cable. If the only flaw was the bent knob well that could happen even in transit. Just a thought.

It may be fine. I decided to go with a 5 string but otherwise I would have opened it up and checked the wiring. Wouldn't have took much to fix it up.
I have the light blue one wait till you try to put real bass strings on it I drilled my tuners out bigger
Yeah this bass just wasn't for me. Too many issues to justify keeping it.
@@DoctorMcFarlandStudios yeah i didnt pay for mine was sent to me to review tell company what they are doing wrong and they got a list😅
If they fix their stuff I may buy another one.
I had the exact same experience!
I had hoped it would have been better.

I can nit pick if I want. I was hoping it could have been a descent instrument for the price as I like the form factor.

didn't feel like 9lbs to me. it was pretty light

How about some more HeadRush content........more specifically HeadRush Prime. If you don't have one, it's time to get one.

You can reach out to me for your bassist needs. Love your videos bro
I will consider that :)
Dude that's a Allen key in the bridge it's magnetic and sticks off side
good to know :)

Is this bass a 34” or 30” scale?
32”?

Not really nice of you. 😢
Maybe they will fix the issues. I didn't talk bad about the company but this product did not make the cut.

Both had the same buzzing issue.
