Pulling stuff like that out of the woods is some hard work! If you've done it, you know how difficult, yet rewarding it can be. You come home sore, tired, and hopefully, but not always with whatever it was you set out to retrieve. Sometimes, you even come home with a respiratory issue, or some nasty cuts and rashes that defy any medical identity. Nobody in their right mind would do it, and yet it's stronger than any drug, and keeps me and my son going back over and over for that next big discovery. Thanks for saving all that old iron, it keeps these cars alive, and saves a piece of American history for the future.
Hi guys. The nippled Lucas lights. In the U.K they were fitted like yours as a pair. The clear one as a spotlight and the other, with it’s widespread beam pattern, as a fog light. As used, one gave a longer than headlight range narrow beam and the other illuminated a short wide fan shape to cover both centre road markings and the nearside kerb in poor visibility.
There are only 6 guys looking for it but they’ll scour the ends of the earth and pay you whatever you ask. I love this hobby. It would’ve never worked without the Internet
Those Lucas lights - I think they were called 'Pathfinder' ( Fog Light ) and 'Projector' ( Driving light ) and there was a bit of a tradition back in the 50's for having one of each on British sports cars . ( Projector has the clear lens )
Those Lucas d/lights are a set, it was common back in the day to run a spread beam on the near side for fauna and pedestrians and a spot beam on the centre side of the road for distance.
Nice lot of very interesting parts. The odd lights you pick up 1930 -50s under bumper spot and fog lamps i think we had them in the uk just like it good luck with all your new old parts sales see you soon ✌👌👍😎
You may or may not be interested but my father was a collision man he died in 1955, after he died my mother rented the shop out to another collision man. He had a hoist very similar to the one you plan to restore. I believe he used it lift the bodies off the frames when he needed to replace the frame.
I bought a clutch slave kit from honest Charlie speed shop when I was 17 yrs old in the 50's and now, I'm 80 my kit was the same when I put a 21 stud in my model A.
Those Lucas lamps, they are a pair, one is a Spotranger, the other is a Fogranger (the one with the stripes), that's how they came. (I'm an old British car guy)
17:50 - is that the steering axle that was buried with the shop crane? Glad you found it. The reach will be too short for most car work, it's meant to load and unload lathe chucks, press dies and heavy parts in a factory.
Great Idea! They'd be ahead if they just gave them away, but with a spraying and maybe tire dressing, they could charge for them. The new tire sizes & designs make crappy swings anyway!
Love seeing you save old shop equipment as well as cars and parts. I worked in an old shop and they had an old press linke the one you have and I’m sure it when to scrap after I left, I wish I would have grabbed it. The lift you saved brings back memories. A friend who I grew up with had one in a back bay of his father gas station , he still has it but it been outside for years
Trashcan🗑Approved! Like old car parts that used to be a dime a dozen, back in the day in the 80s I used to hunt for vintage electronics; consumer audio products that ppl were tossing out because it was cheaper to replace than repair. Sold the stash off in a move only to see prices explode a decade later as things suddenly became "collectable".
Nice job unloading all the goodies from your find with the tractor. I see that the hyster fork truck was at least being used as something to prop up some of the finds. Will the hyster ever move or is it a permanent fixture? Just joking around about the forklift. I enjoy watching your finds an amazed at what people end up saving and that others trust you to come and rescue the "juck" to bring it back to be used again. Thank you for your good adventures.
I’m surprised Matt uses a Harry Ferguson tractor. Harry Ferguson who sued Ford Motor Company for continuing to use his patents on the Ford 8n tractor. Ferguson vs Ford Motor Co., 77F. Supp. 425(S.D.N.Y. 1948)
I’m not that nerdy. Haha. This tractor was the right price and and had a bucket and runs well so it’s just fine for me. Would love a 9n with a bucket but the fergy works well for now!
@@IronTrapGarage an 8n would be a better tractor than the 9n it has a four speed transmission and both brake pedals are on the same side, and if you get a 1950 -1952 model it will have the easy to service ignition distributor that’s located on the side of the engine instead of that cursed crab distributor on the front of of the engine like the older flathead ford v8s. By the way the Ferguson is a fine tractor with that overhead valve engine, they’re hard to beat.

That is such a great and true description of this love of hunting and finding old iron! So fun!
10:50 These lights actually are a matching set. the clear lens is a spot beam & the grid lens is a spread beam & together they covered everything.
Good job on saving that hoist with freaking trees growing through it! Crazy! 😅👏

That was very common in Sweden too. Most cars had one of each type mounted.
Here in New Zealand too
That is some great info...Thank you for sharing!👍
Thanks for sharing! We’re always learning too!
Center, Curb,
There are only 6 guys looking for it but they’ll scour the ends of the earth and pay you whatever you ask. I love this hobby. It would’ve never worked without the Internet
Thank you Matt and Mike for the update on how things are going there in Pennsylvania !

Yes please, make some hoist restoration videos, thx.
That is so freaking cool that engine hoist and I hope you send it out and get it sandblasted and maybe powder coated
Another project car! If someone makes a movie where they need to hire a fleet of 30s Fords, you'll have the market cornered.
38 is a keeper in my book. Loved seeing that extraction.
Badass find, Im gonna say it again. Im glad this was saved because this is american history! Thank goodness it wasnt scrapped
Those Lucas d/lights are a set, it was common back in the day to run a spread beam on the near side for fauna and pedestrians and a spot beam on the centre side of the road for distance.
Thank you!
the curve of that hoist reminds me of the big english wheel you have..
That old Ford red belly is the hero of the day.
6:45 I have a little interpretive Dad swing dance for this little musical bit.
This is a really awesome RUclips channel. Keep up the great work and the great videos.
Thank you very much!
I want Steve's job........get paid for working on cool old hot rods, play with Moon, cruise in the hot rods........what could be better!?!
You’re assuming that he actually does get paid.
@@scottmeeker9971 True.......even if he doesn't get paid, I still want his job! 🙂
Steve: "They roll, you know?!"
Lol!
Steve is a full time paid employee.
Yes he does have a pretty cool job. We’re lucky to have found him!
Nice lot of very interesting parts. The odd lights you pick up 1930 -50s under bumper spot and fog lamps i think we had them in the uk just like it good luck with all your new old parts sales see you soon ✌👌👍😎
Wow😮 yet another awesome cool find. You guys are living the dream. I truly envy yall. 😊

Yep on that car the bubble has been broken so run with it make it the best you can
I cannot wait until you guys start on the 38 convert. I want to see how it cleans up. I hope the interior doesnt smell too bad.
Still my favourite Band: Itchy dust & the raccon poops
Lol
All those tires should be sold as "vintage" tire swings. You could make a killing!
Great Idea! They'd be ahead if they just gave them away, but with a spraying and maybe tire dressing, they could charge for them. The new tire sizes & designs make crappy swings anyway!

Wow 38 ford rust free body
Hopefully floor board rust free to
Totally cool to see classic car and parts bring back to life
Dude!!! I'm really starting to like those 38 Ford's crap!!! I don't need another project!!! thanks✌️
Matt tell the bee to go find a flower !
Cool parts
One doesn't see many '38 Fords around. That car is gong to be really nice when you are finished working on it.
Wasn't it missing the dash? Wasn't a '38 dash in the floor stash?
Nice video. Thank you. Wash the car. Replace the one windshield panel. The will look like it is ready go on the road.
MUST FEEL VERY REWARDING SAVING ALL OF THIS STUFF! VERY COOL CAR!
On your unmatched Lucos lights. The clear is a driving light and the one with ribs is a fog light. Back in the day they usually only used one light.
Excellent stuff
Lots of cool!✊
🗿💨ive passed on those hoists at auction over the years bc they are HEAVY, thanks for sharing Guys 👍
They're worth alot of money now.
Hi The LUCAS lamps are often fitted as a pair like that back in the day one as a fog lamp and one as a driving/spot lamp.
Thank you’
Hi Matt. Did the upholstery guy ever get the delorean roadster interior & top done? You gave it to him like 6 months ago.
Still has it… sore subject. Hoping to see it again soon.
If you live near someplace that dips cars you should have the hoist acid dipped it will leave it spotless and save you a lot of time
Those Lucas lites are a pair, one fog, one driving light.
They roll you know? Gotta love that.😃😃
Damn. Ninja Bee mission failed. Quickly, deploy Sumo Wasp!
Have you guys had a look at the Lincon Zepher and I noticed your puppy has a lump on his back you may want a vet to take a look at it
He’s had lumps since he was a puppy and they get checked and drained regularly.
Build a convertible hot rod! It would be so cool

moon rocks!
I'd like to suggest Steve gets his own lil' segment on ITG.
Yea "stromberg Steve shows you how to tune your Carbs"
You should put the second antique lift in your upper shop for storing and attacking your cars❤😅
cool

Forklift we’ll probably sell in the spring. Is just too big and clumsy for what we need most times
I miss seeing Kate!
Are you planning to go there one more time? I’m sure you would find more cool parts from there.
Yep we hope to go back more times once it warms up weather wise again!
Good as usual When are you going to get the forklift going?
Mike has a hotrod, what about Steve?
Nice find.

Hey Matt Gabrial Inglacious OTHERWISE KNOW AS FLUFFY the comedian is a VW collector and he might be interested in the tow kit.
The intro 😂😂😂

Question
How much is classic cars worth
After you get running and road safe
