This happened to me as a 9 yr old..then..I repeated the process when I was 37...My boyfriend basically adopted my sons. 2.5 yrs and 4...after 20 some yrs my sons enlisted in the Matines...my boyfriend & I..still together, after 22 yrs....we never married, but stayed together. My bf has a great relationship with my sons. 4 grandkids now Now! Ages 13 months to 15 years old....my sons are now ages 29 and 33...Patients, love & understanding, is all it takes...I have to hand it to Daryl, for writing a song that effects alot of people. 💞
