Brilliant John! Looks like the ‘go to’ gps unit at the moment. Great walk as well, brought back some good memories from our recent stay in Rothbury. ATB
Garmin Connect is an app, with a GPS unit it is the interface between your phpne and the GPS, where as BaseCamp is PC/ Mac based and is route planning software. Thanks for the route, track and course differences. My question here is if I'm starting a recording (headed into the bush with no route or prepared course) I believe that's called an activity? That's where I find it in my GPS in recorded activities. Can I dissect my track after, if I take a bulk reading of my activity? Or when I want to stop at a point in the bush do I have to stop that activity save it, then start a new activity and then add them up after if I want the total distance/time moving?
The easiest way to dissect or join together the track (which is what your gps is recording) is in Garmin BaseCamp. This you have on a pc or Mac and it the best way of managing all your collected data. But BaseCamp is not as easy as it should be, so please do look at getting some training on how to use it.
You answered the question, as I used Garmin BaseCamp I used a track, if I had sent it to the Garmin GPSMAP67 via the Connect App it would have been a Course. I hope this helps.
24:15 good location for UFO watching. i have Garmin Legend C also locks with a 6 feet precision, however it often loses a signal in a dense forest or rainy weather.
Hi we find the dual frequency and additional satellites that can now be locked onto with the new units really helps in these situations, that is great that your Legend C is still going strong
The noisy background music ruins your video. I can't hear you over the noise. I made it to 0:57 and had to quit. Why do people ruin great videos with totally unnecessary noisy frigging music? Good grief. Thumbs down.
Great video!!! Makes me want to go for a trek right now. Getting ready to buy the 67i today !!!
Thanks a lot ! David Delannoy, from France (Baie de Somme)

Glad you enjoyed it, many thanks for your kind words.
Great quality video, thank you.
Can you please explain difference between Garmin Connect and Garmin Basecamp?

Hi John, thanks for the great video? Is there a reason that you used a track and not a course - any other than Basecamp not supporting courses?

Can you import gpx files from other platforms such as Viewranger or Tracklogs or does it have to be via Basecamp?
As long as you can export the route/ track as a .gpx file you can use whichever software/ app you choose. I hope this helps.

Many thanks for your feedback and I totally take your feedback on board.
Have you considered decaf?
@@steveysimmons13579 The video needs to be decaffeinated.
