I'm 50 years old and chose PanOptix to get out of my progressive glasses. I had my right eye done on 10/3/22 and am now seeing very well in this eye. I choose to postpone getting my left eye done due to experiencing "halos" at night and I'm currently wearing a contact in my left eye corrected for distance. The halos seem to be getting better but were overwhelming when driving down major city streets due to traffic lights, head lights, street lights. It's amazing being able to see all distances without glasses. I'm hopeful the halos will improve and I'll feel comfortable in getting my left eye done.

How long was your eyesight blurry???

@@jimd7241 Hey Jim, the blurriness is better but I still am not happy with the Pan Optix. I have even gotten used to the Halos at night. I'm at 5 months now. I can read small print if the lighting is good. Often I can read VERY small print if the lighting is good. But what's interesting is that the clarity is not great. If I'm working on something small and detailed I need to put readers on to make it crystal clear. There is NO WAY I will be doing PanOptixs in my left eye and I have not ruled out replacing the PanOptix with a mono-focal.
If someone has cataracts and goes to PanOptics they may be happy. I went from being able to see VERY well with my progressive glasses to being able to see what seems like "low definition" with Pan Optix.

@@SSPshooter72 I feel about the same about 3 weeks in AND love that i can read small print,But the distance is really blurry,And since the medium,And close up vision are pretty good ,I DON"T THINK IT HAS ONE THING TO DO WITH NEUROADAPTATION of the brain,BUT SURE I"M GONNA HEAR THAT ON 3-1-23 I hadn't ask yet but I may ask about replacing if the blurriness hasn't cleared up in a month from now IF THEY didn't mess something up that a touch up laski can fix... The halos wouldn't be bad if i had clear vision....My cataract in my right eye is clearer that the panoptix at this point.... Really this iol shouldn't be on the market...I wonder if they'll do some kind of deal if they have to replace the panoptix because I don't think insurance will pay anything to remove

What is your Doctor saying about the blurriness surgery error or what?? They never mentioned about touch up lasik?? Also have you questioned your Doctor about replacement? IF so is the same total charge as the first surgery coming out of your pocket or will they help you out? I used savings to do this so I've got myself in a bad situation if my Dr don't help with this or if insurance won't,And I'm certain Ins won't pay a dime.. Thanks

@@jimd7241 I was told 3 weeks isn't long enough. My Dr told me that he had not concerns about doing a lens exchange at even 6 months. I've been working on an Email to send him that explains my discontentment. Sorry for late response.

I loved your video and thought you did a great job. I would like to know how your night driving is after the implant of this lens

15 days since surgery and left eye still blurry.. nxt Dr visit 3-1-23 right eye surgery postponed

I think postponing was a smart move Jim. I can't help but wonder if many of the folks that are happy with PanOptix get both eyes done and after having both eye done they get used to the lack of clarity. PanOptix is NOT IMPRESSIVE to me.
