Those thin pillar are most likely decorative. This estate reminds me that “insomnia” clip from Faithless. I wonder if the videoclip was filmed there. Anyone have any insight on this? The black and white film gives the brutalist architecture that extra bit of character in the video.
'Insomnia' appears to be filmed elsewhere. That "corrugated" texture of the exterior walls was used in many, many UK estates, but I don't see any of it in Alton. Also there's many shots of him strolling along the garage level, and I don't see any garages like that in Alton. Now *Fahrenheit 451* that was filmed here.

They look very old. I don't know if they transmit IP data or if it is some weird custom system. They might be the live streams from the cameras.
