Beautiful times...He just sang joyfully without the craze of money; the craze of trending on social media, the craze of competition to show off like today's younger musicians...God bless King Sunny Ade.❤❤❤🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
One of the greatest musicians ever produced by our continent, who promoted the authentic culture of the African people. No adulteration. We shall forever cherish and adore you.
This man was the first nigerian ever nominated for the grammy award. Listen to this music performance and then feel why he deserved it despite making music entirely in yoruba language. He made the whole world felt the beauty of the language. What a set of educated musicians. Respect
One of Nigeria's and Africa's greatest ever singers. My parents played his music in the house when I was growing up in London, UK. "EMA A JO" is a yoruba phrase which means dance on.
Good day sir! Were you King Sunny Ade PR in those days? I remember you signed a letter I received from King Sunny Ade in the 80s when I wrote that I enjoyed his outing at Green Springs Hotel Ibadan. I wasn’t at the venue, I was only hearing his music clearly at our former house situated behind the hotel. I love KSA and his music to bits! Long live the King of world beats!
@@patricksmart-zi3de Thanks Patrick for your steadfastness. I was the PR person for KSA ORGANIZATION at the period under reference and was present at the GreenSpring Hotel gigs. At present I'm the Group MD of KSA's Companies while he remains the Chairman. We thank Almighty God for His blessings on him and sincerely appreciate your lasting loyalty. Remain blessed Brother.
Thank you for your reply sir! I will make sure I look everywhere for that letter next time I visit Nigeria. I know it’s about 40 years ago. I might just be lucky to find it again! I wish I could see King Sunny Ade again. The only time I saw him was in 1975 when he came to visit now Elder ‘Dayo Odeyemi at his late father’s house at Ekotedo Ibadan. I was under 10 years old then. Uncle Dayo was writing for Entertainment Newspaper under Sketch in those days. Our house was opposite Uncle Dayo father’s house. I’m so happy you’re still supporting him and happier that you have moved up to an enviable position of Group MD of his companies! You have worked hard and you deserved the best for your loyalty and trustworthiness. May God continue to bless, prosper and protect you and the King. E se gan sir!
@@patricksmart-zi3de Thanks for your kind words, Brother. You are always welcome. We prayerfully look forward to another opportunity for us to meet by God's special grace. Your well wishes will surely get to the King. Thanks again and be good!
❤❤❤❤ King Sunny Ade is the definition of pure natural music. How I wish I could rewind back the years and enjoy every moment. The Afro, the dashikis and beads. The African identity. Davido go sit down somewhere. Our father is playing.
