    I’m from Oshkosh, and my life revolves around aviation. And boy do I miss the sounds, smells and airplanes

    Even with a nice long runway ahead of them, Navy pilots know nothing else but to land hard. @02:39

    That old 172 looked like it was going to settle back on the runway - and then that climbing turn...bet that stall horn was screaming!

      Best part it it’s entirely unannounced. Last year when we were in Boeing plaza, 2x F-15s came and did some burner flybys. Was a great start to the morning!

  • @billschlafer

    That first F-15 was really coming in hot. Was that go-around planned, or was he running out of runway? Every jet driver has probably seen that F-16 over run at AirVenture a few years back. You don't want to be that guy and end up in the sod.

    Never realized the F-18 has a noticeably slow approach speed compared to that of the F-15.

    • @TheKusa5
      @TheKusa5 3 года назад +1

      Well they are meant to land on carriers so slow speed approaches are important, Navy pilots also slam their jets onto the runway instead of the smooth landings Airforce pilots do, the strong gear of the navy aircraft can take it

    Sounding of landing jet not matching.Its like piston plane sound of propeller.
