Awesome impact, thanks for showing us it in use. Wish Milwaukee would give this aircraft mechanic a free $999.00 Milwaukee 1" Dr. impact wrench kit. You're very lucky & blessed. GOD Bless you Tater
That was impressive. It’s crazy the amount of power that they can get out of those tools and still have the battery life that they do. Great job on the video
If changing big tires occasionally is all you need that is the way to go. Just the savings over having to buy a big compressor will about pay for the gun.
I was 33 years doing heavy equipment & Hyd. Yes I used the life out of 1 of those CP 1in drives & my 3/4 Ingersol . I think they broke me too. I wish I had this option!
One charge, all day work💪 Our company uses recent years cordless Milwuakee tools only, mainly on construction site etc. We used to use fleet Hilti program before, their tools are top , but early cost is like more than double. So it is cheaper than Hilti or Bosch ( in Europe, in particular Czech Republic) ,.) but still reliable for professional job. 👍
Tim look up part 533MEL by sunex. This is the extended socket you need to work with this gun for the hub piloted lug nuts. Amazon sells them. They have a 1 1/2 as well for stud pilot. I haven't noticed a square socket for the inner nuts on stud pilot, but they usually aren't that tight.
Never sieze everything. Never know when you have to take it apart again. Especially up here in the rust belt. Nice tools. I just picked up a cordless grinder. I used to take the generator out to the mower. The cordless tools are definitily handy.
I’ve got the 3/4 drive and there’s nothing on a big truck I’ve tried to take off that it wouldn’t do with ease. I was impressed. I wish Dewalt made a 3/4 drive because everything else I have is 20v Dewalt.
The 1” is a monster. I’ve been using the 1/2” gun with 1400lbs breaking torque and I’ll tell ya it’s a absolute beast!! I drive tow truck and my gun pulls tractor trailer logs off noooo problem the 1800 on the 1” is crazy!!
I've been awaiting the arrival of this new gun. Wish I had the funds for one. I have quite a few Milwaukee tools. If I only had this I could eliminate my air hose and 1" air gun for the most part. Working on trucks everyday this is a must. It's definitely on my list.
That thing is an absolute *MONSTER*. I can definitely see you getting a lot of use out of it. I'm not so sure I would, but I bet some friends of ours could.
Some things I noticed. Before you undo the lugs on the wheel you should hit them with some penetrate and you shouldn't use anti seeze on the threads you dont want them to come loose when operating.
10:00 Oh nooooooo!!! Is he grinding at the threads of a tapped hole? I would suggest like a wire brush attachment on a drill or something and maybe some rust removal spray or something. Grinding threads away is not ideal.
check the rules and regulations at your DOT or ask your field mechanic you use i know it is illegal to anti seize lug nuts here in Canada just a friendly FYI.
@@tayb504 5.1.15 Wheels (393.205) us dot Fmcsr No stipulation, however I would always suggest torque compensation with any lube regardless of regulations, and most importantly the use of a calibrated torque wrench to verify even torque across all lugs is far more important and critical than the 10-20% difference of applied tenshion vs actual torque. It being illegal is rather narrow minded, if all studs are lubricated the other variables that can cause uneven torque to tenshion are minimized because of the lubrication. Just as an example Cummins calls for lube on the bolts that hold a vibration damper on and that spins a lot faster that a wheel does, maybe look at the practical engineering view before regulations and then give advice.
Ingersol Rand is coming out with a cordless 1 inch impact that’s supposedly going to be stronger than the Milwaukee. Milwaukee will come out with a better version if this happens.

Tim, didn't you just sharpen those blades a few weeks ago when you smashed your hand? Maybe you can bring that big monster over here and pull my bushhog blades off, LOL!!
That 1in impact is absolute beast and ⅓ of the weight of the 1in air impact. I don't have Instagram so is there another way to be apart of the giveaway?
Great video thanks for showing off 1 inch Beast. What is reverse torque on it ? IF the lug nuts were torqued to spec on big truck what would they of been ?
For the tool only you can buy it for $700 compare that to the $1700 long anvil snap-on pneumatic 1 inch drive impact also rated at 1800 break away I think it has plenty of power for the money
I thought my 1/2" Milwaukee Fuel Impact was strong, I bet that one inch is way overkill for my needs. I just bought the M12 Fuel 3/8" impact and it is surprisingly strong for small jobs.
If you want a long lasting tool for hd lognut, you need a one inch impact. A 1/2" can do the job but will not last.... The 3/8" Milwaukee is a beast :D
But did it get the lug nuts to the correct torque? I have a ingersoll 1” with a constant run 3 phase 55 cfm compressor and 1” hose and it won’t torque to 500 ft-lbs. always use a torque wrench on any highway truck, period.
Half-assed Garage depends how long your hose is? Is it 20ft long or 300ft long? I have never had a problem hitting 500+ tightening with my 1 inch impact.
#milwaukee I work at Mack Truck dealership in findlay ohio. #FlagCityTruck&Equipment...this thing would come in handy for sure, lightweight and effective... going to have to talk to the boss man and see if he will purchase a couple of these. Hey Tim at Least you didn't cut yourself or did u smash ur finger can't really remember but I know it was one of the two . Cause you had to get Jill to help you put it back . Hope half way right on this.
While they are rusty, those things were way over torqued. That gun shouldn’t have struggled like that even with an extension on there. They come off pretty easy on tractor trailers If they are torqued correctly. This is just the first generation of the 1 inch. I was hoping when it did come out it would have a little more power but the next generation will have more in a year or so. That’s going to be the one to buy. There is a new generation of Milwaukee tools that runoff different batteries they are not the 18 volt. They are called Milwaukee MX. They have big concrete saws and boring tools and all kinds of crazy lights, They even have a cordless gasless generator. I’m sure they’ll make an impact wrench that uses the new technology that will be well over 2000 ft/lbs unlike this 1800 ft/lb gun

anti seize doesn’t make them looser or not as tight. It keeps the corrosion away.
