You may have a separated piece of plastic which has fallen into the mechanism which jams and prevents it from opening. This happened to ours, and I couldn’t figure it out, so booked it into a mechanic who solved it. However the error in the manual highlighted in this video made diagnosing it a little harder, so a hopefully it helps. Good luck!
