USC fan, love watching SC vs ASU. It’s always a good game.
Well....that was the last time playing unless they meet in a bowl game from here on.
Right always a great game, I woke up in the middle of the night here in the North East to see it and I don't regret it, sad to see this rivalry is gonna be gone.
As an asu fan, I obv didn’t expect to win but I didn’t expect this either. I am pleasantly surprised with our performance against such a good team as usc. Go on and win the championship for the pac 12!! Go out with a bang

I see Marshawn only touched it 13 times last week. That explains a bit of why Colorado was able to make an attempt at a comeback. Game moving to fast and not eating enough clock. Need to throw off opponent offensive rhythm with the run game. We’ve entered a pass happy league that the tailback and tight end position are almost obsolete.
For the sake of saving face, even if SC wins out, I sure hope we don’t make the playoffs cause with that kind of strategy, SC will get killed against a better coaching staff than what we’ll face all season

Played against him in high school. As a sophomore on varsity the kid was legit. Didn’t think he had the size to make it D1. But Jesus Christ… my buddies and I were begging the ASU coach to keep feeding him bc he was EATING.

USC has Notre Dame, Utah, Washington, and Oregon coming up and with that defense that allowed 28 points to a team that scored zero points against Fresno St. I think USC has got the same problems as last year and those 4 teams are gonna score a ton. Last year we lost to Utah twice and then to Tulane in the bowl game. In each of those 3 losses, the opponent scored more than 40 points against USC.

Colorado is not going to be able to stop USC at all. You have to beat USC on the line of scrimmage and Colorado will not be able to do that.
If you had common sense bro you would realize most of the points came off USC turnovers. Clean those up and SC should be good. The defense is night and day from last years.
The poor tackling from USC's DB's is a persistent problem- they just don't seem to be able to wrap up on tackles!
Oregon fan here, Caleb Williams is one of the most complete prospects I’ve ever seen, even with a sloppy performance he put up heisman numbers yet again. Good luck on the season usc 🙏🏻

I’m a huge USC fan, been one since ‘97 and I’m not a homer, but I will say this that USC will get the breaks beat off of them if they do not tighten up their defense. You got Oregon, ND, and UDub playing good ball along with Colorado, Utah and UCLA. I can see USC losing 2-3 games easy if their Defense does not tighten up.
They’ll beat Colorado and the defense should be better by ND I think the bye week messed with their momentum

Absolutely right.. USC has been way overhyped and this game showed a ton of flaws in there team.. they won which I congratulate them for but they played a terrible game. If this is the best they can do mark my words they won’t go far…

@@nottanot6015 USC’s defense will be the main concern this upcoming game. ASU was built through the portal as well, and they put up 35 points; CU has a better offense than ASU so we’ll see if USC can stop them from scoring well or just outright outscore them
After this showing, I can't wait to see what happens with CU, even though ASU always puts up a fight against USC & UW.

CU throws screen passes and depend on gaining yards after the catch... all of Shedeur down field passes are under throws... Dylan Edwards had 4 touchdowns week 1 all those yards Shedeur threw for were screen passes to him and he won that game for them... CU is not what you think they are

Man Arizona State's offensive line was a ticking time bomb though. That QB made great throws though.
I feel for him, just a 3rd string qb trying to make the best of a bad situation with this ASU program, I hope he can find his groove and make a name for himself
@@t-topgarage7887Pyne is QB#1 and didn’t start due to an injury. He holds the ball too long and fumbles too much. That being said our o line is very injured and any QB in our roster is going to struggle

Caleb Williams was doing the darn thing as he threw the ball for 322 passing yards and accounted for five touchdowns. That’s impressive for a Heisman candidate as he carried his team by beating Arizona State 42-28!!! Go USC Trojans!!!

Another game closer to the goal. I played ball at 'SC, and been around the team for decades. Not very bright to get overly emotional about what you see any particular week. Georgia or whoever might look sloppy any given week against a lesser opponent. If you know our 2023 squad, you know what we got. And best believe we're leaving unique tricks up our sleeve for key games coming up. So Fight On! And enjoy the ride!
You guys are in for 2 straight losses against Notre Dame and Utah though. Cam rising will be back for Utah and Notre Dame's defense won't allow you over 21 points.

USC has one of the weak schedules.
The color analyst was so enlightening. "Wow" and "nice" on top of the play-by-play analyst. USC RB Lloyd is fun to watch.

Caleb was sloppy tonight but he still threw over 300 yards through the air and had 5 total touchdowns. That defense of USC is definitely going to be they’re demise when playing Oregon and Washington

@@eli6797 well I'm not gonna disagree with you can use the portal to build a team I just hate when people that have never played and base their opinion on cosmetics but there are players on every bench that are good enough to start and deion got about 35 of those players so I agree with you that you can build a team using the portal. I guess I'll know more when I see how Colorado holds up against the 5 and 0 Trojans at least in regards to coaching. 😇

USC DEFENSE HAD 8 SACKS, 14 TFLs, 2 TOs....THE OFFENSE AND SPECIAL TEAMS PUT USC DEFENSE IN MESSED UP FIELD POSITION ALL NIGHT
Finally someone who watched the game. That USC defense performed good. Offense put them in horrible positions for the first 3 quarters and special teams sucked.
@@jwsstudios4697even with the statline, USC’s secondary is prone to getting torched. It will be interesting to see when they face Washington for example who can air it out with one of the best qbs and receivers in the country
@@eli6797 yeah, I'm excited for Washington to play USC. The best two offenses in college football. But didn't Washington give up 32 points to Cal. And USC has a slightly better offense. USC should have never had a bye week this early right before their first away game. But ASU was doing trick plays that they didn't do last week. These plays would have fooled anybody. That ASU defense isn't bad. Only gave up 29 to Fresno st when ASU gave up 8 turnovers

Two points.
1. When a special team has a runner reverse direction and instead of running interference in front of the ball carrier, the blockers should stop in their tracks and turn around and block the trailing tacklers. It's too bad the coaches do not teach this very important practice. That sort of thing always seems to happen during a screen pass.
2. Marshawn Lloyd reminds me of the great runner Marshal Faulk.
The USC defense either sacked the QB, intercepted the ball, or gave up HUGE chunks of yardage. This is not sustainable. They might loose to WA, OR, UT, and Notre Dame this year. Basically, the same team as last year.
Alex Grinch defense is always guessing never in the right position. They aint beating UW OR or Notre Dame.

So usc drops 4 spots in the rankings for a win on the road, yet Washington moves past them with a win at home vs a horrendous cal
Watching this live the last two touchdowns USC scored were super suspect. The right guard jumped way before the snap count both touchdowns and no false starts were called. On the 2nd touchdown USC WR ran out of bounds for 7 yards came back in at the 3 and caught the touchdown. The refs acknowledged he went out of bounds and talked for 5 minutes before just moving on and not even explaining if he made a football move to get back in bounds (he didn’t). Officiating at the end just felt really really off, especially when they tried to rule a catch the was down a strip sack.
The receiver was for ed out of bounds. In the replay yiu clearky see the db pushing him out of bounds. Thus he's allowed to come back in establish himself and catch the ball.
Wow they go after # 4 Max Williams every big play every week. Come on make the switch.
Play like that in boulder your going to get yourself in a shootout at that point who knows what can happen
I don't root for USC or Oregon as a Stanford fan, I hate both, but I was happy with Oregon's win over the overconfident Colorado Buffaloes, and I was pretty interested in this game despite knowing it Stanford/USC is usually a rivalry game, but last few years hasn't been very good at all for Stanford.
So I've found myself becoming more interested in other teams, USC is one of those teams I've, as a Stanford Cardinal fan, been slightly jealous of because of how great they do and then realize why I'm not a USC fan when they fall apart at the end of the year.
At least as a Stanford fan I know we're going to get blown out and lose but I think it's worse to have such great seasons go down the can because you can't really compete with the bigger schools like Ohio State, Michigan, and Georgia. Right now, Georgia doesn't look great at times, neither does Alabama, but both will still destroy USC.

The rule in college is that if you hit the pile on with any part of your body before you’re down or out of bounds and the ball crosses the plane it’s a TD. The ball itself doesn’t have to stay in bounds. Just has to cross the plane before the player is down or out of bounds.
