I remember the old Imperial Sugar company in Texas we used to drive by on the way to the Gulf of Mexico to go swimming and surfing . That was damn hard work! I tried my hand at cutting cane for a summer job one time , I lasted a month and that was it !!!
@@bottle1lack743 the old days the cane in the field was cut by hand with a large machete like blade, the hauled by wagon to the mill. knives cut the stack down to smaller pieces before going into the mill rollers which squeezed the juice out of it. it was a very dangerous occupation back then. its still hazardous now but not like before.
A lot of people in the comments are saying dirty this, unsafe that. They didn't even know that this is only the milling process. The refining process is much more "cleaner" lmao.
worked in clean up crews in beef plants what a messy sugar factory I was inspected each day I could argue the sanitary issues with your sugar factory, neat looking process of making sugar though sugar, beef not the same, stainless steel issues may not be the same
You haven't showed us how to make sugar here.we are just seeing machine moving but the really process not seeing. I want to see how the liquid is dried up to make sugar
the milling factory MUST BE CLEAN from beginning to end.the entire facility must be clean to ensure a healthy product.there is mo problem with old machines as long as they are clean and well mainted.
you do understand that snakes, bugs, mice rats, and yes sometimes humans get into the cutting and crushing process. it doesn't shutdown for such minor details. the bleaching of the sugar usually kills all the bacteria
a sugar mill grinding/extraction is just about the nastiest industrial operation known to man. if you have ever machined the equipment or assembled it on site like i have, you would see what i'm talking about.
Right? My understanding of sugar refining after watching this is that throw the cane on conveyor belt after conveyor belt. The cameraman lost interest after the 28th conveyor and went home! Was the beige stuff at the end sugar, or was it the waste product of the process? Guess we’ll never know!

Can't believe how dirty this processing company is. There's a great reason not to use sugar anymore. Think they need to clean their act up before shooting anymore videos.
the bottom dropped out of the sugar market back in the 1990s. it was going really cheap on the open market and a lot of smaller refineries went out of business.
around the world, generally in equatorial areas. mills i personally machined have gone to Egypt, Pakistan, Vietnam, Colombia, Venezuela, Florida and Louisiana USA, Cuba, among others
Very poor production of the process. Should go from A to Z, and not A, D, B, F, and then nothing after H! Go back to the drawing board and do the process right!
You have not shown how sugar cane juice is separated from the husk. Also how sugar is made finally .
To a common person like me this video looks incomplete. Didn't see sugar at all.
It would have been great to have had narration so as to know what the hell is going on.

To me. Is also a dangerous place to work.
I won’t be buying cane sugar anytime soon.
It a continuous process.I hope.the factory should shutdown maintenance program.each.year. from Bangkok.
