What am I missing here they're saying that was a world record for a Mazda Miata of that year $25,000 is pretty much the normal price for a Miata for that year isn't it so what am I missing for it to be called a world record
They were $13K when it first came out.

$13,000 with inflation would be $29,000 now. How does that make this a record. It’s the same way that the $4000 cars new in 1969, Would be 32,000 now new.
