I really enjoyed this!! Normally I get bored trying to follow.. But you are a really WONDERFUL teacher. I like the French seam or w.e you called it! Ahh saving this for helpful tips. THANK YOU!!!
Bought and downloaded your lovely pattern. Made the pinafore in just a couple of hours... This is only the second garment that I have made and it turned out beautifully, the size 2T fits my granddaughter perfectly. Will be making those real cute bloomers today. Thank you from the Gold Coast in QLD, Australia🐨🇦🇺🏖
Alexandria Morton I’m sewing all sorts of different things these days, especially since I acquired another beautiful granddaughter since this post 💓 I’ve even sewn costumes for the girls to wear at their annual Disney On Ice outing, although I didn’t make them this year (thanks to COVID19) I think the most ambitious project I’ve done is to make a calming pet bed for my little dog Milo. I’ve also invested in a Quilters Choice sewing machine, it has that really long sewing area, oh and walking foot (my sewing best friend) 🥰 What kind of things do you enjoy sewing?
@@julz63 sounds like you have come so far with your sewing and congratulations on moren granddaughters - they must keep you business. It was nice to see an Australian who also knows and follows Melly - such a good explainer. I am basically a beginner into sewing. Before I would only use the machine for re hemming and taking in clothes. I can mend but I am so new to making from a pattern :)
Alexandria Morton , if you like watching great sewing tutorials you have to check out Sewspire on RUclips. Andrea is such a lovely teacher, I’ve really learned a lot from her too 💓
Excellent tutorial - i printed the pattern at the copy shop but one edge was consistently missing from the print range. There was only A4 and actual size print options and both didn’t completely print the pattern.
LOVE this Bloomer! Though I am having a difficult time finding measurements for the actual bloomer. I got the ruffles, but can't get the whole bloomer! I did purchase the pattern but the dimensions are too small when I print them. I am new at sewing. If you or anyone can help that'd be great!! Thank you!
Hi Melly, thank you so much for the great tutorial and patterns. I downloaded your free pattern 0-3 months but it seems huge next to the dress I made (Also your design) is this normal? I followed your instructions to the T. I am busy with the elastics but can not imagine that the size will change much. Just scared I messed it up.
The diaper cover does look big until you get the elastic in. Also make sure to check your print settings to make sure the pattern didn't print at the wrong scale.
Hello. I have tried to subscribe to get free patterns but when I do I never get the email with the password to have access. I have recently made the dress with buttons for 0-3 month. Not sure what to do..thank you. Love your tutorials!
If you made a different free pattern it sounds like you're already a subscriber - and the newsletter won't re-send you the welcome email you've already gotten. But the gallery link and password is also in every Friday newsletter.
Hi Melly, Anna again. I figured out how to download the patterns, thank you. I do need some more help, I cannot find the lengths to cut the elastic for each leg and waist. Could you please help?😆 Thank you😊
+Melly Sews Thank you very much! My baby is here, born 2/11/16, and im almost done with the bloomers, finished the dress before she was born 😀 Thank you for the pattern and help
@@Mellysews It does say 1 yard total, but it does not give the length for the waist and the leg openings. It would be nice to know for a 0-3 months size.
I went to your website to get the free pattern but I can’t find the link to the pattern anywhere?? It talks about the free pattern and says you need X yds of fabric but there no link to bring you to the actual free pattern, just a link to buy a pattern. Help!
Hi there, I'm sorry you're having trouble! Please see this post to narrow down the issue and find out what to do about it. I love your videos. You take your time and make projects pretty much fool proof. Can't wait to make several of these for my expected new grand niece.
Thanks!
You are a fabulous teacher off to make bloomers can't wait for tomorrow
Simply wonderful tutorial !!!
Many thanks!
Drooling over the OTHER 'Honey Bee's' Baby Lock! Such a nice machine! Cute pattern! Thanks.

So true! Puffy on babies is so cute!
Just adorable!
I love watching your videos, Melissa. You're such a good teacher !! Much appreciation from Australia x

I always recommend using Adobe Reader to open and then checking the auto rotate and center option to make sure no edges are cut off.
Nice
Thanks

These are turning out cute. Just wondering, what are the lengths of elastic used for the 0-3 month waist and legs?
Check the post linked in the description; lengths are listed there.
Found it, TY
Cute cute!
+Julie Harris Thanks for watching!
How much elastic should you use for the waistband and how much for the legs?
Elastic amounts are in the pattern or in the written tutorial

Is the back of the bloomers wider than the front? Can't match up the seams and my template is printed correctly.
yes it is. Babies need more room in the back for diapers.

Where do I get the free bloomer pattern?
Details in the post linked in the video description
Are they meant to be 2 different sizes?

Did you sew in the middle of the ruffle? Second is there a marking on the sewing machine for 3 /16 in.
Yes and it depends on your machine.
