Among the leaders of heavy metal over the past twenty years, Testament have always provided the rock solid proof that great song writing, regardless of genre, will always transcend time. Their crucial contributions to the early thrash metal surge of the mid to late 1980s helped to develop a sound that forever changed the face of heavy music and resonates just as loudly today. With all of their Bay Area peers either calling it a day or drastically altering their sound, Testament has remained a worldwide metal ambassador throughout the 1990's and into the new century.
Testament-Live In London captures the recently reunited classic line up of singer Chuck Billy, guitarists Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick, bassist Greg Christian and drummer Louie Clemonte playing to a rampant sold out London audience. Classic tracks such as Into The Pit, The Legacy and Trial By Fire are brought screaming into the 21st century.

I love Megadeth and Slayer, and I believe Rust in Peace and Reign in Blood are absolutely classics. But here’s the thing... not only did Testament have Legacy and New Order in the 80s, they also had Gathering in the 90s and Dark Roots of Thrash and Brotherhood of the Snake in the 2010s. All top quality thrash. Testament has aged beautifully and, I would argue, sounds better nowadays than ever.

Chuck is the best vocalist in thrash metal, maybe even metal. He may not scream like Tom Araya but there's no one who can sing like him.

Keith Dawes Dude, metal is not for everyone. Real metal (not nu metal or hair metal) has rarely if ever been mainstream. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you if you don’t like it. I am a metal fan. I am in the minority. Day in day out I am forced to listen to crappy modern pop and electronic shit on the radio. Very few people are forced to listen to metal. If you hate it so much, there are way more other forms of music you can go and watch and enjoy. If you instead enjoy trolling metal videos on youtube, go ahead. I, as a metalhead, am used to ignorant and hateful people bashing on my favorite music. That’s what makes it all the more powerful to me. The fact that people in general do not understand. Peace on to you, Keith Dawes. I can respect your opinion, as I know I am a misfit, unwanted and will die alone. All I can do is enjoy what I love👍🏻
