On the River feeder set up - It's Important to get the Black / Blue bead the right way round!! Black towards the Rod side, assuming you knew that & got it right in the Vid'?? - it's a while since I used these but it matters otherwise the Bead will come apart!!
Nice one. Enjoyed the video with your narration which makes learning and retention so much easier. Due to the lockdown I intend to pop down local canal so I comply to stop local. Any hints/tips on this would be useful especially as many modern young fishermen spend most time on commercials neglecting our canals.

Hi JP, I can't remember which I used in the video but it depends on the size of feeder etc, have a look in your local tackle shop and they'll have a range of sizes in there.
Question. What is considered a commercial venue? Is it for commercial fishing, or commercial as in having boats on it, or something else? Really not familiar with this term.
@@Scottsoutdoorchannel Thanx for answering, much appreciated. Balkans, Bosnia. Not plenty of commercials here then, mostly open rivers, with good chub, bream and barbel.
Hi Chris, for method feeder 4" is standard, you could as low as 3 but it doesn't make a huge difference, and for other feeders it depends where your fishing them really but anything from 30cm and above for still waters and up to 1m on flowing water.
@@ScottsoutdoorchannelI'm going on the canal tomorrow I only fish method feeder but tomorrow I'm trying out the cage feeder same as your video but was not shour on hook length for canal
@@Scottsoutdoorchannel OK I'll do that then thank you for helping me I have only been fishing for nearly a year now my takle shop has been selling me method feeder for the river I was wondering why I can't keep mothord feeder on bottom it kept taking my line down stream with 65g I have been told that only cage feeders are for river and canal and method feeders are for lakes but I have had lots of fish in the summer months on river but not winter months high water level and flooding between October to March so I'm hoping cage feeder is true for river

Great content as usual. Was wondering which feeder links & quick change hook length connectors your using on the river feeder set up shown ?
Glad you liked it, the feeder links are from Preston and the hook length connectors are from Drennan.
Thank you!

Hi, a commercial venue in the UK is a man made lake full of Carp for match fishing, thanks for watching, where are you based?

Sounds like you have some good sport over there, I do enjoy fishing rivers
What size hook length clip do you use?
Which feeder rig in particular?
Does anybody know if the matrix method feeder stems are interchangeable with the Gurus or preston feeder systems. 🤔
I don't know about the preston ones but I know Guru stems won't fit

How long do I need my hook lengths

Canal you could probably start at 30cm and see how the session goes.
