    I've got one. When using the smith machine, place some blocks or pads under each of the arms then load the plates. Then you can start your set with a heavy weight but you aren't at the weakest position. When you push up the blocks just fall away and you do your set. Only needed when it's really heavy.

    I always think it’s quite ingenious when guys on gear don’t at least acknowledge the fact why they have the physique. Of course hard work, genetics and discipline always play a part and nothing he said was incorrect. It’s just a half truth. Love mikes content thou

    • @geoffrunning6480
      @geoffrunning6480 Год назад +19

      The word you’re looking for is “disingenuous.” What’s actually pathetic is how people come on to videos like this claiming “PEDs” when they truly have no idea. A) for how consistent and long Mike’s been training, his physique is 100% achievable. Genetics play the biggest role there, and he has great genetics. B) even if he is on something, who cares? He still had to work his ass off to get to where he’s at. People who make these comments are too lazy to put in the work so they just automatically blame PEDs because it’s easier than being disciplined for 15+ years.

    Quick Summary - Mike discusses various gym hacks to boost muscle growth and improve workouts. Some of the hacks that were mentioned include warming up with a simple exercise of hanging from above, using shoulder cuffs or straps when training shoulders, using a belt with a plate or a dumbbell between the legs for lateral raises, and using a foam roller or pad under the back foot when doing split squats. Mike also provided tips for exercises for biceps, deadlifts, grip positioning when doing pull-downs and rows, abs exercises, training legs barefooted, and weak point training. Additionally, the video recommends bringing isolation exercises to the beginning of the workout session, using wrist straps for front squats, and using an app with the best workouts to achieve extreme results.

    While stretching is generally great and especially dead hangs have a lot of benefits, they are not at all recommended before a strength workout. Stretching before a strength workout can slightly fatigue your muscles and tendons and lead to worse workout performance and even to injuries.
