Nice list! I love seeing in depth analysis like this. Mostly agree except that Thor would be way higher up for me. I think hes definitely not best for newer players but for people who are familiar with the game, its easy to build the scenario and deck to play to his strengths. With a well timed lightning strike I can pull off some massive damage dealing turns that make Doctor Strange blush. The double edge sword for me with this game is I like 80% of the heroes and want to keep using them as much as possible but as the card pool grows and grows it just doesnt become viable for me to give love to all the heroes that deserve it. Other than Spiderman I haven't used a hero from the base game in almost 6 months because im trying to catch up with all my expansions haha
@Pjflan2 I know the feeling, with a game you enjoy so much, it's hard to pick your favorites ... and the same, it's hard to pick up the originals when so much stuff is coming out! :) Thanks!

You know a game is really good when everyone can have a favorites list far different from another, and it all makes sense as it's all about what works for you in fun factor. Really wish they just made heroes a standard 6/5 starting hand size across the board, it turns me off from playing Thor, Hulk and She Hulk most of the time. Have you tried any of the homebrew decks made by the community? They're incredibly balanced as not being too over or under powered and still stay thematic to the hero. Think I have 58 heroes to choose from right now. My top 5 to play from those 17... 1. Quicksilver 2. Spider Woman 3. Ant Man 4. Scarlet Witch 5. Captain America
I pretty much agree with this list exactly. I’d swap Captain Marvel and Spidey but that’s about it. I do have this weird obsession with trying to make Hulk better in true solo so he gets more play than he should haha
@@DaletheCasualGamer Yeah that’s been the most consistent for me too. I have a similar build with aggression allies because they’re all Avengers too. I think some sort of stun lock with protection could work but that’s more events for an already event heavy hero.
Black Panther at the bottom?? :( I get it, though. He was a struggle to put together in the beginning. And then I played him with the leadership aspect. Game changer. The key was: - play, kill off, replay Shuri asuch as needed to get equipment out - use Maria Hill, Nick Fury, Hawkeye to draw cards quickly, mitigate minion growth, and manage threat, then use them as blockers - once equipment is all out, the deck should be thinned out enough to always have resource card + For Wakanda. At this point, you really can't be stopped. For Ms Marvel, I've started using a thwart-centric justice deck. I keep her mostly in alter ego form, building up damage cards, mitigating threat....then flip and damage all at once
@Zombie Meerkat I knew that decision was going to surprise some people. It's just my playstyle, and he is playing too long a game for me to get set-up, and honestly with his stats, retaliation and extra resource cards it really shouldn't matter, but for me, he doesn't click. :) Thanks for the pointers! :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer I wouldn't call it surprising, really. He's at the bottom of a LOT of lists. Ms Marvel, too. Though I'm glad to see you listed her higher than most would have. It's a really unique deck with a really unique playstyle. My bottom deck would probably be Hulk. Not that's a terrible deck, I just haven't figured it out yet.
Groot I'm not sure yet but rocket is damn fun. Get your guns out, fire like crazy, reload! With the venom card revealed that will allow to have 3 restricted items in play he will be insane.
Just got into the game last week and ordered a bunch of of expansions. Not surprised Spiderman was rated the highest on your list. Seems like Him and Iron Man are the most enjoyable to play. I agree. Black Panther (with just the base game cards) seems lackluster... The entire video I was waiting to see where Capt would show up. Glad he's your #1 (he's my favorite hero!)
Interesting choices, Dale! And super video as always. :) I love how Captain America is so versatile all around. I’d have to say Black Widow’s my #1. With all her picking away at the villain; she’s constantly engaged in her dance of death, even when she’s not playing the actual card, lol!
I think my favorite has to be Ms. Marvel. Flipping back and forth creates a fun dynamic and her ability to make thwart and attack events more powerful and then return them to your hand is just fun. Hawkeye, Captain America, Ant Man and Quicksilver round out the rest of my top five. Secretly, as unpopular as it is, I actually love playing with Hulk. The addition of Deft Focus and then also Assess the Situation have made him way more flexible with hand size and his big hitting cards being superpowers.
@@DaletheCasualGamer I just can't get into Ms. Marvel. Shes such a lame librarian character. I hope they introduce a character that has a similar play style so I can try it out.
Thanks for sharing. Dr Strange is my current fav. I haven't played Ant-Man, but need to do so soon. I've heard great things about him from other players as well.
Great video Dale! I’ve only got the starter set and just bought Cap/Guardians/Green Golin.... just need more time to play. So I can’t really add much to what you have said already, but wanted to share my thoughts on the starter set. 1. Spider-man love how the theme plays out and webbed up/swing kick are amazing cards 2. Iron Man, again the theme of building suit is great. Think the aerial trait is under used/doesn’t quiet work? 3. She hulk I enjoyed with protection deck, but dull/poor on solo. I enjoy filling form for her as it works well for her theme. 4. Captain marvel - great strong deck, but I just don’t enjoy her.... it’s probably because I have limited comic knowledge of her (I’m in my 40s) 5. Black Panther. So disappointed as I just get beat every time with him. The upgrades don’t seem good enough value when spending WF. It feels like WF should have been 0 cost or the abilities be a little stronger. I’ll have to try some other aspects and maybe that will improve things. Like you maybe I have just been unlucky with him. So my list is probably just a list of my favourite characters to read (with the exception of BP) When/if they make Logan I’ll use him no matter how bad he is! Thanks again..... best channel out there! 👏
Great summary. My favourites will always be Iron Man (my childhood hero) and Captain Marvel (my daughter's hero). For new players I would personally recommend Captain America, Captain Marvel and Dr Strange - the Big Three of Marvel Champions. They can pretty much beat anyone on Standard or Expert solo (Ronan still a challenge even for these three imo but beatable unless you are unlucky) . Captain Marvel is the only Hero I have ever beaten a few of the villains like Rhino in just two turns and she can beat the Hood in three (see Dale's own video on how he accomplished it with Carol- and with a bit of luck he could have done it in two). All three can win with any aspect solo (many of the other heroes will struggle with some aspects solo) and are all invaluable when playing in any team.
@@DaletheCasualGamer When my darling daughter is down which hasn't been in months sadly. I also play them with my friends with Captain Marvel the mainstay - They always grumble on how long it takes Iron Man to "get involved". Carol just gets in and starts blasting from turn one and is also a good thwarter even on Aggression. As I've said she really is the full package along with Captain America and Dr Strange but with a much bigger punch per turn usually. Looking forward to the next playthrough. Watching Black Widow (film) after watching a few of your BW playthroughs.
Excellent guide. I’ve had this for ages but just getting round to playing. Thank you for the excellent and entertaining content. Wow…you play fast mate! Ha, I’ll be taking a half hour to do 1 turn probably!
@@DaletheCasualGamer yeah, I’m going to concentrate on the core set folks just now as they’re all cool but I have stacks of the new ones too. Why do they tempt us with such good stuff!? Oh, I subbed by the way. Good stuff.
@@DaletheCasualGamer they do. I’m an eldritch horror fan with all the expansions and doubt if I’ve even played half the available roster of investigators yet. Pleasingly, champions looks like you can “just” get the core set and you have a solid game with loads of replay value. Thanks again Dale, top work and worthy of a sub matey.
Ok debate/discussion time!I feel that Scarlet wins over her brother! She does run through the encounter deck fairly fast but her interactions with it just hand over heels blows Quicksilver out of the water. He can do lots of jabs and make a round seem longer and more impactful but her ability to completely void encounters and other negatives as well protect with shields seems like a no-brainer to me. Plus her hex bolt can just manage multiple minions at the same time with the right draws. Sure if you put Quicksilver with a certain aspect he can manage some of that but I don't know, he just seems more subject to the villain than Scarlet. She seems to always control the playing field when I play her. But I just wanted to make a debate for the fun of it lol! What do you think? P.S. I agree with most of your list but I would go 1. Scarlet Witch, 2. Antman, 3. Dr Strange, 4. Captain America, 5. Black Widow, 6. Quicksilver, 7. Spiderman, 8. Hawkeye, 9. Iron man, 10. Ms Marvel, and so on haha! Just thought I would fill up the comments with my fanatic love for Scarlet :P
Haha! Quicksilver runs circles around the Scarlet Witch ... until she says stop. ;) I agree she is more powerful and can get started quicker, I just like running. :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer no I get that and I think the difference is probably that you like to hit hard and fast with your games where as I hate getting hit so I play more defensively haha!
@Nicholas I'll try with new videos to explain some tips and tricks for the villain I'm facing ... after I figure out the tips and tricks with the Guardians villains! :)
Great video as always. I personally would put captain marvel lower than black panther. In terms of fun game play, black panther has a better experience than plain ol captain marvel. Scarlett witch is definitely one of my top 5 including captain marvel and ant man.
My top 6 are 6. Spiderman 5. Groot 4. Captain Marvel 3. Ms Marvel 2. Ant man 1. Captain America I play 95% solo I haven't played Scarlet witch, and only played Rocket and Quicksilver once each so I can't judge those yet. If I picked the most broken and strong hero it would be Dr strange by far
My top 5 #1 Black Panther #2 Hulk #3 Rocket #4 Hawkeye #5 Quicksilver I haven’t played with Ms Marvel, Wasp, Scarlet Witch, or Groot. My wife has been them. I’ve only played with Antman once I imagine him and Scarlet Witch will contend to be in the top 5.
Without having played most of the heroes, I really enjoy Iron man. Building up that suit and staying in hero form is awesome. Love the game ending repulsor blasts as well. I picked up Galaxy’s most wanted and Groot is probably my #2.
@@Neilius52 Glad I can help with your "hobby acquisitions" ... I haven't fully accepted it as an addiction, but people are still trying to council me. ;)
Great video, I’m not sure I agree with all your order but it’s great to see each hero’s plus and minus points. Great reference vid for new players....and for some older players who are rubbish (me! Lol). How about a list of Villains in difficulty order?
@Ragnot This isn't "the best heroes", just my favorites for me ... and I'm pretty sure you're not "rubbish" when it comes to this game. :) Villains in difficulty order ... that's easy ... Villains from Galaxy's most wanted, and then the other villains! ;) Honestly, that would be a tough video for me to make as they all seem different depending on the number of heroes used, and the actual heroes used. Right now, quickly, the final four in galaxy's most wanted, then Ultron, Klaw and Red Skull. What's your top 5 villains?
Just started playing but bought Captain cause he’s also my favorite… love that he has a very versatile play style.. wanna stun lock, play protection.. wanna play avengers, play leadership.. sock hitler, aggression.. having a hard time picking a favorite way to play him
@Inwoo Lee For them right now, Gamora, Rocket, Groot and Star-Lord last. Still not sure if I'm going to like Star-Lord. All the others would probably hit in the middle of the pack. :) With all that said, I'm not really a huge fan of the Guardians. Never read the comics. How are they ranking for you?
A very different list than the one I would make but I agree with your number one pick. Ms. Marvel would be at the bottom of my list only because I have not really had much success with her. Black Panther would make my top ten. I would have had Doctor Strange as number two but he has been bumped down by Quicksilver.
@writerguy911 Honestly, a lot of these are so close, the order could change just depending on the villain or what other people in the group are playing for theme or mechanics. :)
@PrzemO Probably true solo, but think some heroes need a team-up to really have a chance to shine ... and it allows me to highlight two characters with one playthrough. :)
I really like Doctor Strange but I’m not very successful. I’m going to have to watch some of your videos with him and see your Aggression deck construction. Ant-Man is currently the most fun hero for me.
I enjoy playing She-Hulk quite a bit, though sadly some of her unique cards are pretty weak. However, in addition to Gamma Slam (which is great if you pull it at the right moment but sadly can't be relied on) and Split Personality (which is amazing), she also has Superhuman Law Division which is the single most cost-effective thwarting card in the game, and Focused Rage which allows her to ramp stronger than nearly any other hero. She does require a playstyle where you flip nearly every turn. You need to flip to make use of Do You Even Lift and Superhuman Law Division, draw to 6 instead of 4, as well as to heal - her massive REC of 5 (or 7 with the nearly mandatory Down Time) keeps that Focused Rage going, making her hand size more like 8/6. But that's not to say you're ranking her incorrectly. There's no right or wrong with fun!
Love your input might have to buy the hero pack in this order after I get guardians expense an red skull been sitting an waiting for everything to come out when I but the basic box. Lol
My favorit is Thor. I like his cards, mechanics and most important the atmospheric asgardian theme. However, he is difficult to play, but with new aggression cards in game i have a lot of fun with him. Dale: What are your heroes you would like to see next in marvel champions? For me it is Namor, Black Knight and Vision
With all the new minions, Thor just got a little more stronger to play! It's hard to say, I want X-Men, more spidey-verse, marvel knights, and even more Avengers ... so this game needs to stay fun and accessible for quite some time to see them all, but if Marvel Legendary could do it, I hope Champions can too. So, Wolverine, Magneto, Deadpool, actually all the spidey villains, punisher, moon knight, and then finish off all the MCU avengers with winter soldier, falcon, vision, etc. One day I'll need to make my top 100 list of heroes in this game. :D
I enjoy your videos. They have helped me to learn the game. I just have a question…you say Cpt.America is your favorite but also that you don’t play leadership aspect very often but Cpt.America default deck is leadership. I’m just curious..do you play or recommend him with different aspect?
My biggest disapoitment is Hulk - really expected him to be cool and powerful but I can't seem to make him work. Small hand, discard after his turn is done, just too many bad design decisions concerning Hulk.
Very nice video, as always! I never miss your video! Very interesting choices btw. My favorite Marvel Hero is Doctor Strange and he his also my favorite Marvel Champions Hero. I really like also Cap, Quicksilver and Rocket, but the last one i fear that he is a little bit weak... What do you think about it? And about Strange as 1th place? Great job man! Sorry for my english but i’m from Rome, Italy :-/
@DarkLynx00 Hello Rome, Italy!! And your english is great! :) Dr. Strange is great, and I think I'll be relying on him more as I learn how to deal with the new villains from Galaxy's Most Wanted! Thanks for watching! It's always great to know how far this channel reaches so thanks for sharing. :)
This was great to watch as a new player to get an introductory feel for each of the heroes. Venom was the first hero pack I bought outside the core set, where would he fit into your list?
@Jordan Morris For power or solo play, he would be near the top of the list with Dr. Strange ... for me, he definitely fits my play style. Definitely knocking Black Widow from the top five, and could easily be anywhere from my #2 to 5. Thanks for watching, and happy gaming!! :)
Sorry not played all the characters yet so had to skip those sections (coz spoilers). My takeaway as a new player of the 10 or so I've played so far they all have something unique which makes them all desirable to play from a variety perspective. I would personally therefore find it hard to rank them other than from how easy they are to win with... as they are all really good fun to play so far. I really enjoyed BP personally, when i looked through the cards I thought it wouldn't play well for the reason you brought up.. card sequence reliance.. you do get a "free" upgrade at the start but I still found it fun due to the mechanic of mitigate/control until you do get set up. The weakest character so far mechanically has been Hulk due to it just being so one dimensional tactically... still it was/is quite cool and satisfying setting up the big hits and the race against the Scheme. Teamed with a good "thwarter" it may be a tad OP though? Character I had the hardest time to win with was Quicksilver though it was mainly due to bad card draws and just standard decking it. Looking forward to getting to grips with it though as only a few tester plays with it. Anyway thanks to this channel I finally played MC and having loads of fun.. cheers.
When I do black panther try to put out five allies and exhaust them for five more cards the more cards you have on the board the faster you cycle through!
@@DaletheCasualGamer My current board state for BP with Black Panther and Scarlet Witch against Taskmaster is six allies, have stinger as one, three BP upgrades and five supports!
I'll just do top 3 1. She-Hulk 2. Ant-Man 3. Doctor Strange I really hope they do something with X-men as I don't care for the marvel universe ever sense Jim Shooter left excluding X-men which is a masterpiece. It's probably gonna be an entirely new core set if they do come out with it though being that the X-men universe is massive and it's a good way to line their pockets. Too bad there's no DC version of this game.
I love Black Panther. I won all the vilains from core-set with the yellow affinity except Ultron expert. In my point of view, the heros Avengers are better than Guardians, except Venom. The betters are the mysticals (dr. Strange first and then Scarlet). I hope Adam Warlock will be good.
@Rene Fest Dr. Strange and Scarlet Witch are definitely great heroes, and I'm hoping for the new ones to be great too. I'm not very familiar with Adam Warlock, but looking forward to him. Thanks for watching! :)
Interesting, love your channel btw. I've been running heroes in teams of 3 vs ultron on expert and my list would be fairly different than yours, but it might be because of the specific scenario that I'm playing. Like I'd rate Cap Marvel way lower, She Hulk higher and Hawkeye lower (his arrows are nice but he doesn't do much else). I also don't really get why everyone loves Captain America so much, I get that he can ready himself but beyond that he doesn't seem that strong to me. He comes with resource cards but his big costs are actually in discarding (discarding a card to untap and discarding cards for shield toss) so I often find I have too many resources and not enough cards to do what I want with him. Completely agree with your Black Panther review though, he seems great in theory but getting his cards out in the right order doesn't always happen and when he doesn't draw a Wakanda Forever, he doesn't do much. I don't think I'd rate him lowest but I would rate him pretty low because of that. But in general, I think playing 3 handed vs solo probably makes a big difference. Thanks for the list!
Cap is my favorite Avenger, so that took him up a bit higher on the list. And player count and play style can definitely change a persons "favorites". Great design, every fan of the game should be able to find a character that works for their playstyle and player count. :)
@@aarontrovillion9285 His ability to ready after defending is AMAZING, which is why I generally run him Protection. One of the only heroes I use that aspect with for my main use. :)

@team 89er I've got both Marvel Legendary and Champions, and they both provide totally different play experiences in my opinion. And both are keepers. :)
I'm sorry to say I quite disagree with your ranking. First, to me, Dr. Strange is by far the best, and Scarlet Witch could be the 2°. Also, I think SpiderWoman is one of the most powerful heroes. Finally, In my opinion, She-Hulk is really Sub underrated. Great video anyway. Regards! P.D: Groot & Rocket are also great
@Cthulhu Thanks for watching and sharing your top ranking! We all have different playstyles, and at the moment, this is how they rank for me. If I was going for straight power, the Mystics would move up the list and Captain America would definitely be moving down the list. And agreed, Rocket and Groot are a lot of fun. :)
Captain Marvel is my favourite as I like to be rich. Also Black Panther, Ant Man, She Hulk, Ms Marvel, Spider Woman. OK Cpt America Dr Strange Spiderman Hawkeye Thor Quicksilver. Not played enough. Scarlet Witch Black Widow. Yuk Hulk, Iron man and Wasp. (Wasp is boring, Iron Man is rubbish or OP. Hulk is the only one I think is actually bad) . Rocket seems great too Groot is not tried.

Not trying to be mean or anything but how can you stand sleeving your cards with sleeves that are too big for the cards im sorry but that drives me nuts plus it makes it harder to shuffle
@Matt Smith You get used to what you get used to. I'm using Dragon Shields for most cards, and FFG sleeves for the hero card and villain/main scheme cards (so if they get mixed, it's easy to feel for the cards that don't belong. @@DaletheCasualGamer hey just one suggestion for BP that might make you like him a bit better. because the last BP upgrade effect is doubled, you actually don't get that much value by adding additional BP upgrades. additionally, WF is still really efficient with only one upgrade (heal/dmg for 2, deal 2 to every minion and the villain engaged with a player, remove 2 threat, or deal 4). ok, except the threat one. that one is legitimately not great, but the others are! in most games, i would say that i spend about 90% of the time with only one of his upgrades, which was the one i drew from the start. definitely don't wait until you have all of them out first, cos that's a LOT of setup time with very little payoff. try it out and see if you like it better :) (i know some people still don't though lol; it definitely feels weird to spend his upgrades early and play WF without resolving a bunch of cards, but definitely don't feel you need all of them out before you get WF)

@Zombie Meerkat I knew that decision was going to surprise some people. It's just my playstyle, and he is playing too long a game for me to get set-up, and honestly with his stats, retaliation and extra resource cards it really shouldn't matter, but for me, he doesn't click. :)
Thanks for the pointers!
@@DaletheCasualGamer BTW, do you not have the sliding toploaders for AntMan and Wasp?
@@zombiemeerkat8958 I do have them, they created a bit too much glare for recording playthroughs so I quit using them for that reason.

Couldnt agree more. I am interested where will You put Rocket and Groot.
@DabTin Right now, I'm pretty sure they would be bumping 2 out of the top 10. :)
@James Biondo Welcome to MARVEL CHAMPIONS!! Hope you enjoy, and I knew Cap would be #1 before he was even released. ;)
Dale, very thoughtful video. I like the way that you used the character's cards to backup why they are in the order that they are.
@Jessie Martinez Thanks for watching! I feel my 6 through 16 will change on a regular basis. lol
Interesting choices, Dale! And super video as always. :)
I love how Captain America is so versatile all around.
I’d have to say Black Widow’s my #1. With all her picking away at the villain; she’s constantly engaged in her dance of death, even when she’s not playing the actual card, lol!
@Justin Maalihan Black Widow does definitely dance around the villains. :)
Thank you for this video Dale.
@Jim Calabrese You are welcome! :)
I thought I was done buying expansions for this game after Kang. Then I saw this video. Now I’m thinking I need to add Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.
@@jimcalabrese2572 Those two are great additions to the collection! :)
Always fun to watch your videos! Keep up the great work!
@Mickel Laforest Thanks for watching! :)
@Derek Ms. Marvel is tons of fun to play and I like the rest of your list ... and good points for newer cards helping out the Hulk! Thanks! :)
He might not have spells, but it's kind of magical how often I will switch him from tiny to giant, to tiny, and back to giant form. :)
Great video Dale! I’ve only got the starter set and just bought Cap/Guardians/Green Golin.... just need more time to play. So I can’t really add much to what you have said already, but wanted to share my thoughts on the starter set.
1. Spider-man love how the theme plays out and webbed up/swing kick are amazing cards
2. Iron Man, again the theme of building suit is great. Think the aerial trait is under used/doesn’t quiet work?
3. She hulk I enjoyed with protection deck, but dull/poor on solo. I enjoy filling form for her as it works well for her theme.
4. Captain marvel - great strong deck, but I just don’t enjoy her.... it’s probably because I have limited comic knowledge of her (I’m in my 40s)
So my list is probably just a list of my favourite characters to read (with the exception of BP)
When/if they make Logan I’ll use him no matter how bad he is!
Thanks again..... best channel out there! 👏
Finding the time to play is difficult for me too ... and I'm right there with you for Logan/Wolverine! :)
I'm assuming several Iron Man / Captain Marvel team-ups in your household! :)
@Leslie Stevenson I hope you are enjoying the game! And playing fast comes with time, and some video editing. ;)

I personally love black panther he’s still one of my favorites. Great video though!!
@Taran Burks He is great ... in other peoples hands. I never got him to greatness with me playing him, but I see his potential! :)
Haha! Quicksilver runs circles around the Scarlet Witch ... until she says stop. ;)
I agree she is more powerful and can get started quicker, I just like running. :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer no I get that and I think the difference is probably that you like to hit hard and fast with your games where as I hate getting hit so I play more defensively haha!
They did an amazing job with Cap. My top 3 are Spider Woman, Cap and Black widow. Can't wait to try out Groot and Rocket 🥳
Hope you enjoy the Guardians! :)
Can u make a tips and tricks video for this game? I always watch u kicking ass and Im over here getting absolutely pounded by klaw lol
Thanks for watching! So many great heroes to choose from, it's a tough list to compile! :)
My top 6 are
6. Spiderman
5. Groot
4. Captain Marvel
3. Ms Marvel
2. Ant man
1. Captain America
I play 95% solo
I haven't played Scarlet witch, and only played Rocket and Quicksilver once each so I can't judge those yet.
If I picked the most broken and strong hero it would be Dr strange by far
@Clint Jackson Solid list!! :)
My top 5
#1 Black Panther
#2 Hulk
#3 Rocket
#4 Hawkeye
#5 Quicksilver
I haven’t played with Ms Marvel, Wasp, Scarlet Witch, or Groot. My wife has been them. I’ve only played with Antman once I imagine him and Scarlet Witch will contend to be in the top 5.
@Jalin Stockdale Glad you and your wife are getting some Marvel Champions plays in together!! Awesome! :)
Without having played most of the heroes, I really enjoy Iron man. Building up that suit and staying in hero form is awesome. Love the game ending repulsor blasts as well.
I picked up Galaxy’s most wanted and Groot is probably my #2.
Also thanks for putting this and your other champions content out, great to feed my addiction when I can be playing, haha
Villains in difficulty order ... that's easy ... Villains from Galaxy's most wanted, and then the other villains! ;)
Honestly, that would be a tough video for me to make as they all seem different depending on the number of heroes used, and the actual heroes used.
Right now, quickly, the final four in galaxy's most wanted, then Ultron, Klaw and Red Skull.
What's your top 5 villains?
Just started playing but bought Captain cause he’s also my favorite… love that he has a very versatile play style.. wanna stun lock, play protection.. wanna play avengers, play leadership.. sock hitler, aggression.. having a hard time picking a favorite way to play him
@Phillip Jenner Cap is great because he can work with any of the aspects! Have fun! :)
Curious to know where Groot, Rocket, Starlord and Gamora would rank for you!
@Inwoo Lee For them right now, Gamora, Rocket, Groot and Star-Lord last. Still not sure if I'm going to like Star-Lord. All the others would probably hit in the middle of the pack. :)
With all that said, I'm not really a huge fan of the Guardians.
Nice, do you prefer play true solo or two handed ?
@PrzemO Probably true solo, but think some heroes need a team-up to really have a chance to shine ... and it allows me to highlight two characters with one playthrough. :)
Thanks for the video. It would be great to get your opinions on this which include all the heroes to date 👍
Been running Antman thru the gauntlet myself, aggression and leadership mainly but have played him Justice as well.
@Chloride I think I need to pull him back out next time I go for the new campaign. :)
I really like Doctor Strange but I’m not very successful. I’m going to have to watch some of your videos with him and see your Aggression deck construction. Ant-Man is currently the most fun hero for me.
@Sam Wolverton I've definitely got some plays with Strange, and I think using all the aspects (maybe). Hope they help! :)
Fun list! Different than mine but that means we would not be fighting each other for the same deck!
Haha! That’s the best part of this game and different mechanics for each hero, not everyone is fighting to play the same hero! :)
Thanks for the info! She definitely has her tricks, and like many heroes … I do need to play her more.
Yeeeaah! She-Hulk just needs the +1 attack upgrade, her 3x One-Two, Uppercut and Haymaker. Let the allies do the Thwarting if needed.
Love your input might have to buy the hero pack in this order after I get guardians expense an red skull been sitting an waiting for everything to come out when I but the basic box. Lol
@Ken Paterson Have fun with all the new stuff and thanks for watching!! :)
Not Dale obviously but I’m really looking forward to the introduction of mutants.
Great review, thanks!
You are welcome! And hope your games are going well! :)
I enjoy your videos. They have helped me to learn the game. I just have a question…you say Cpt.America is your favorite but also that you don’t play leadership aspect very often but Cpt.America default deck is leadership. I’m just curious..do you play or recommend him with different aspect?
@Oliver Willmer I generally like using Cap with aggression, but will use him with Justice if it works better for the team-up. :)
My biggest disapoitment is Hulk - really expected him to be cool and powerful but I can't seem to make him work. Small hand, discard after his turn is done, just too many bad design decisions concerning Hulk.
@Fluentes I feel safe in saying you are not alone. Kind of thematic on one hand, but very nerfed for game play.

Black Panther is in my top 5, ouch! Aggression with Jarnbjorn and Mean Swing, and cards that help mill the deck, really show off his kit
Thanks for watching! He’s a good hero, just didn’t click with me.
Anyway thanks to this channel I finally played MC and having loads of fun.. cheers.
Thanks for watching, and good luck as you continue exploring the world of Marvel Champions! :)
When I do black panther try to put out five allies and exhaust them for five more cards the more cards you have on the board the faster you cycle through!
Leadership definitely helps with that extra card draw! :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer My current board state for BP with Black Panther and Scarlet Witch against Taskmaster is six allies, have stinger as one, three BP upgrades and five supports!
I'll just do top 3
1. She-Hulk
2. Ant-Man
3. Doctor Strange
I really hope they do something with X-men as I don't care for the marvel universe ever sense Jim Shooter left excluding X-men which is a masterpiece. It's probably gonna be an entirely new core set if they do come out with it though being that the X-men universe is massive and it's a good way to line their pockets. Too bad there's no DC version of this game.
@JayJayPea1 Great top 3 ... and I would jump on a DC version of this game too!! :D

I have tried some cards that I think are "too tight" and nearly bend the cards trying to get them in the sleeve. Like many things, it's all personal preference.
Thanks for watching! :)
What sleeves do you prefer?
I hope you realised that Black Panther gets to search for an upgrade during setup!
I know. It’s the other 3 that play hide and seek with me. ;)
@@DaletheCasualGamer hey just one suggestion for BP that might make you like him a bit better. because the last BP upgrade effect is doubled, you actually don't get that much value by adding additional BP upgrades. additionally, WF is still really efficient with only one upgrade (heal/dmg for 2, deal 2 to every minion and the villain engaged with a player, remove 2 threat, or deal 4). ok, except the threat one. that one is legitimately not great, but the others are!
in most games, i would say that i spend about 90% of the time with only one of his upgrades, which was the one i drew from the start. definitely don't wait until you have all of them out first, cos that's a LOT of setup time with very little payoff.
try it out and see if you like it better :)
