tbh i stumbled upon one of her covers i don't remember how, and i also love how she looks like she has fun playing. Usually drummers are either focused on fan service or on playing, she just seem to enjoy playing and it's refreshing

The bassline change at that point in the song really drives the chorus sooooo hard
she barely moving her head, mind those symbols weren't really moving either , it was like she really wasn't playing the drums, a bit lie when a singer is lip syncing to a song but with drums

@@xavier_feelfre7924 It is exactly what it sounds like, you replace the sound your mics pick up with a sample from a pro tuned, mixed drum kit. Look up Getgood drums for example.
Man, Joey’s snare fills in this song were WILD, and you nailed them solidly 👍. It’s a feel thing more so than a technical thing.

I wish this kinda thing was around 25 yrs ago when I was entering music school. Holy hell all u "kids" got it easy. All we had was ALBUMS & an occasional instructional VHS TAPE & if you were lucky you could get a few good shots in music videos. Basically..... All we had was our ears to learn songs. Now that the entire world is ON CAMERA, there's a visual learning aspect to music that is proving to be IN-F*CKING-VALUABLE to the younger generation coming up. Y'all are BLOWING all us old.peoples MINDS.

She made that look easy, it took me 2 months of commitment to even get it "okay" and she blasted it flawless. Give credit where its due
This is one of the best things about RUclips. You just happen across talent like this. And it's not dressed or acts in a theme. It's just someone who enjoys the music and absolutely slams the hell out of it with their energy and passion. Music is still alive and it's musicians like this girl who prove it's never died into manufactured stuff.
You will one day realise youtube is not what you think it is. Algorythms favor influencers, the opposite of genuine and real.
Some people have already caught on, others not so much, and some will never see it.

I must say, yeah whatever youtube, but there is no such thing as talent when it comes to musical instruments...not a single one of them were born with this skill, they all worked their way up, practiced everyday etc etc. There was never such a thing as talent in drumming just watch El Estapario Siberiano's video on it.

Смотрел как играет эту композицию Кристина Р. и Эстепарио С. вот чесно, абсолютно объективно, ты сыграла ее просто безупречно, эмоциональнее внешне во всех планах и красивее в плане музыкальности, были пара моментов заполнения, которые просто прекрасно вписались, которых не было у них, они сделали красочнее всю игру. Хотя Крисс и Этепарио мои одни из любимейших барабанщиков, с которых беру пример. Спасибо тебе за проделанную работу для нас! 🤘

That is just a flawless performance, very well done! As a drummer myself, it's a really good feeling to be so comfortable with a song that you could play it live with the actual band that made it.

Respectfully, it's not even close to Joey. She's nowhere near as tight or skilled. I suppose you may have to have a better ear or understanding if drumming to really understand the difference in skill. There are much better covers out there. I remember hearing this song for the first time ever! I was in forth grade and my cousin was super into this kind of sound (he would've been in high school then.) He died back in 2010, but I've always loved Slipknot since I was a wee lad. Now I listen to them at night while I am lesson planning xD

Great single strokes, finger control, dynamics and an almost pitch perfect rendition of the original. Very impressive, kept the musical spirit of the original sonically and not a mere exhibition of how easy it is to recreate the originally drummed parts. A great tribute, a great performance. The cover I linked is better than this girl, and still the guy in the cover I linked is nowhere near Joey's level. He's just a decent drummer. His only tom was a floor tom. I'd say his pedal work is a little about what i consider average, but his drumming overall is average. So it's still for the guy to act like this girl is a rare talent or something when she isn't even at that average mid tier level.

I have a guitrist and we make stuff but can't advenst with vocal and drummer finding. they all trash but few is real good but they hiding some were maybe. It like they all lack of musicality and the didn't hear what they play. Music is fucking gusebumps and pleasure you have to produce .
